What a point to go 40-0, Jabeur was in complete control until the last shot.

Edit: Gutted for Jabeur, she seems like the nicest player around but it looked like she struggled with the pressure of a final again, too many unforced errors.

Shame for Jabeur. Probably one of the nicest people in the tennis world. You'd have thought after losing the final last year, and overcoming both Rybakina (in a repeat of last year's final) and Sabalenka, there wouldn't be anyone to stand in her way. IMO this year was her best chance but we'll see.

Still, a great story for Vondrousova. Former RG finalist, who's been in and out of the game with injuries.

Now let's hope for a 5 set thriller in the mens' tomorrow.

Ons really off her game today, maybe the pressure as she looked pretty despondent early on. Nice outcome for Vondrousova though, this time last year she was just a spectator with her arm in a cast.

Why on earth would anyone pay John Mcenroe around £210K for two weeks of talking for short periods each day, that seems like a disgusting overpayment.

As for the mens final, Novak will win i think.

I agree, it does seem too much money. I guess he's punditry box office, an icon of the sport and the BBC feel they really need him. Perhaps a bit like snooker without John Virgo commentating.

Would love to Djokovic win this and go on to do a calendar year grand slam. He's held all four majors at the same time before, but not in the same season.

That being said, I think Alcaraz will have learned a lot from his lose to Djokovic at RG, and will have a good game plan. Could go either-way, but I think Alcaraz's energy might be a little too much.

The only caveat is the crowd. If they are majority backing Alcaraz, that will fire Djokovic up even more. He feeds off that stuff.

p.s. there have been image of him training with his thigh strapped up, hopefully just a precaution and not something that robs us of an epic match.

This could be an absolute classic, in the same way as McEnroe/Borg or Federer/Sampras. Djokovic is right at the end of his peak, and Alcaraz right at the start of his. They way each of them plays should make for a great match as well.

I'd like to see Novak win one more, and I think his experience will get him through in 4, but it'll be incredibly tight.
