I think Clare Balding is a really good presenter for Wimbledon. I spoke to her a few weeks ago outside the BAFTAS and she let me shoot a photo of her.

Load more seeds been dumped out again today. One of the top 5 left in the women's draw. A few mens seeds gone too today.

Just not good enough yet for Emma to be completely honest. Good to see she's fit, both physically and mentally, but she's going to need to do better to convince everyone that she's not a one-hit wonder. I hope she does, and she has time on her side, but she's going to need to start proving it soon.

Looking much better today. She looks happy, which makes me realise how long it's been since that last seemed to be the case. Tougher tests to come, but very encouraging signs.

Top performance by Raducanu, who actually chased some balls down this time.

The best I've seen her play for a long time, far fewer errors, and much better shot selection. Her serve was more of weapon too.

If Sabablenka turns up though, she's got no chance (but then hardly anyone has). If Sabalenka starts to make a few unforced errors, and gets inside her head a little, you never know. Unlikely, but you never know. It's only Sabalenka's 3rd Wimbledon IIRC, so she's not the most experienced on grass.

For me, Emma lacks a bit a power in her shots (which they've been trying to work on) and doesn't have the variety of someone like Muchova or Ons to make up for it. I mention those two as both have caused Sabalenka issues in the passed and both well regarded in terms of shot making ability.

It's giving me anxiety this match. Draper hasn't hit the ball particularly well or chosen the right shots all match, but Cilic is hitting the ball so deep that it's making it all worse. Just one of those days.

...I started typing that before he lost.
