Kickboxer is up there but not Blood Sport. It's equally bad but a perfect watch with a beer or two
Kickboxer was the first action movie I watched as a kid as my uncle was into martial arts. That then got me into it too and soon enough I was kicking dents into furniture to less than amused parents :D

Karate Kid! Different style to the legendary Arnie films though. I guess OP was after SciFi/Action, I guess they might count as Action. Nostalgic for sure!

Sci-fi and action:

The Time Bandits
Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure
Moonraker (James Bond)

Fantasy and action:

The Goonies
Indiana Jones (1, 2, 3 only)

Action only:

Any James Bond from 80s and 90s e.g. a View to a Kill and Golden Eye

Also:

Look up Kung Fury on YouTube. A crowd-funded flick with the hallmarks of an 80s action / sci-fi movie. A sequel is coming out this year and Arnie's going to be in it :D

Edit: there were a few mentions of Mad Max 2. I would also recommend Waterworld, which is basically Mad Max 2 but on water.

Some of these are stretching the definition of "80's" ..not saying they are bad films but some are very much 90's.

Ahh ignore me, they said 80's/90's....
