It would have been a better movie if they had removed that one scene where Arnie redoes the famous T2 bar scene... and comes out with the stupid glasses. That was a total Hollywood abomination IMO. The supporting actors, Stahl and Danes, didn't really fit into the movie. And the T-X was too pretty to be a Terminator. All in all, it stinks of a movie that "sold out" to appeal to everyone rather than keeping it dark and relatively gruesome with actors and costumes to suit.

Pretty much bang on target. The first Matrix film was a fine self contained movie, the sequels (especially the final one) have tarnished it almost irreversibly though. :(

T3 will hopefully be terminated from the Terminator history at some point. Really poor film, on so many levels.

Regarding this new effort, who knows? I like Christian Bale and find him a watchable enough actor. As a result I can sit through even his poor films without to much discomfort. That said, I don't mind Ewan McGregor either, but even he was just as bad as the rest of the dead wood in the Star Wars prequels. Oh and this MC G fellow. I've no idea who he is, but anyone going by the handle "MC G", is bound to be a complete ******. :D

Personally I have T3 as my favourite of the three,very underated imo, the ending alone is just fantastic, the guy who plays young John Connor perfect for the role, the only lame parts of the film for me are the bar scene as mentioned earlier and the "put down the coffin" gag, even the epilogue voiceover is great

Not fussed about the Sarah Connor chronicles though, the lead doesn't even remotely look like it could be her, on appearance alone it has to be one of the worst castings ever lol
 
They should have stopped at T2 for sure as Alien should have stopped at Aliens. As others have said, these following films ruined the original story. Really they should try and come up with some new and original ideas. The Matrix was an awful film, Canoe Reeves is a lump of wood (fibre glass) and the sequels were 100 times worse.

The tv series has ruined the plot already so i dont think another movie will make matters any worse.
T2 was good but should have had Arnie as the bad guy again, I mean, if i was sending a terminator back to help someone i care about, it would not look like the same guy that tried so hard to kill them in the first place???

T3 was an ok movie and helped to show the beginning of the end of mankind, which i liked, but the new TV show has already messed the story up... If another terminator had previously been back to help then sarah and son would not have been so shocked by the appearance of the helping terminator in the second film, in fact the son did not even believe his mom at the begining of T2 ???

Its gonna get messy me thinks!

P.S. the woman playing Sarah is just WRONG!!! no personality, and is no match for the film version.
 
I don't think bale is as good as you all think, just take the prestige.. Jackman over shadowed him like he was a completely Amateur.

Equilibrium was just like matrix anyone could have been good in it, reign of fire like said forgetable. I only really liked him in american pyscho, I've never read the book though so I'm not sure if he did a good job.

Oh and he's okay as batman
 
Bale Bale Bale is all I have to say, the guy is probably my favourite actor and he can revitalise a dwindling movie franchise, so I have faith in him; He's in several of my top 10 films

Favourite actor since I saw Equilibrium (2002?).

Not sure what to think of the Director though. I like Supernatural but if it's anything like that it'll have a good start, great middle, but poor ending. :/
 
These people who screw up a series need sacking. It all started with T3 and having a female terminator. I'm not sexist but that was just WRONG. Also the "Talk to the hand" comedy by Arnie.

Then this TV series. How to lose credability instantly.

Maybe Bale will fix it like he did Batman, although a big part of that is on the Director.

Christopher Nolan is the Man (Memento, The Prestige, Batman Begins)
They should get him to direct it !

WHAT! :(

Arnie as the good guy was excellent. They got one terminator and reprogrammed him anyway, it wasn't like they had lots to choose from.

If you watch the First film again, you will see flashbacks from Reese were a Terminator enters their base to attack, he looks nothing like Arnie, so there is good reason to believe there was a choice?
