Although here are a collusive group though, apparently all the 'moderate' organisations that are such a value to our society are desperate to support the legitimacy of terrorism by saying that it is OUR fault for having policy they disagree with.

That would make the term an entirely subjective one, in that you could be a traitor without having committed a crime.

Although, to drag our US cousins into the discussion, it seems to be the case that if you are not 100% gungho for your country over there, you are considered a traitor. Or, at the veryt least, a non-patriot.

[Edit]

The Treason Acts of 1351 and 1702 might also state that it is a crime.

To be honest, it's not worried me in the slightest. The area is still the same as it was 3 days ago, just one house here has been home or hangout for a suspect that may have plotted something terrible.

But it is by one definition: A traitor is someone convicted of breaking certain laws.

To define it as betrayal is too vague to be of use except as an insult to denigrate one's opponent.

From the information given how can you deduce that he is a traitor, considering he hasn't been charged with anything yet?

2 : one who commits treason

Hence he needs not be convicted for me to describe him as a traitor
