How is this hard to understand easyrider?
So, I ask again. Who has been lied to?
And what is overpriced fuel? A company will price its products at a price that maximises their profit. Too high and no one will buy it, too low and they won't make a decent margain.
The answer to all your problems with this is to simply keep on driving past the petrol station when you need fuel.

So you'll be taking a pay cut then? I mean, chances are you could get by on less.
What a bunch of dicks creating a load of jobs and making it so people don't have to travel miles to go shopping.

People did just fine without the tesco,
The co-op ticked a way nicely. The local baker and Butcher were ticking away nicely.
The total was just there over charging for its fuel,
Now we have nothing...We have a Tesco, the same priced fuel and the butcher the baker and the candlestick maker along with the co-op and many other local business shutting shop.
Tesco is like a huge Boil on the community.
No they are charging what they feel is appropriate for their business and are not running a charity petrol station just because you want cheaper fuel.
So what are you complaining about?

I'm a big fan of local shops, and indepedent retailers. However, I also want to be able to get what I want, when I want it at a price that I can afford. The simple fact is one off shops can't provide this. Tesco can. People complain about Tesco being a dominant force because they refuse to accept change. By all means, support your local shops but don't just complain for the sake of complaining.
Also, do you accept you lost the argument regarding the petrol station?

I wouldn't be supprised OP if most supermarkets sell fuel at a loss, the profit margin on fuel is very small compared to foods etc... The petrol station (infact in most cases supermarket or not) is the lure to the products sold in the shop.
If you have a problem with petrol prices how about writing a letter to the PM or your local MP or infact anyone to do with taxation of fuel.

And all this talk about buying stuff you can afford from there?
