I know exactly how you feel and what you mean.

I am very lucky with my son and over the years we have slowly got him to try (and liked most of them) new food.

he does have things that he will only eat from one store over the others.

edit...........I did the petition as well

Signed. Also flagged it up to my buddy to see if he can get it acknowledged internally via any routes at his work.

Might be a matter of time with that diet anyways.
She eats cereals, sandwiches, crisps, bananas, and has vitamin tablets just evening meals are a nightmare. Also have a neutritionist and shes fine at the moment but this isnt helping as its getting her stressed as well now and causing her increased anxiety

Can Completely understand your issues with nightmare at mealtimes. Can I suggest trying maybe an Aldis or Lidl? Or maybe even one of the Polish Food supermarkets that have popped up to see if they have any suitable alternatives that may be similar?

I myself have a child very particular about eating so I know where you're coming from

I've read different things about multi vitamins, most sites say they are no good even with a deficiency, couple even say they can do harm, any ideas?

No update on manufacturer yet, but I've been informed that 2 of the Milton Keynes stores (Bletchley and Kingston) are reporting a large amount on their ordering system.

It's not a guarantee, but it might be worth you ringing them.

EDIT:

"The only thing is if the store searches for them on the system, they won't find them as they are discontinued. They might say they haven't got them"

@passey89
I can see the entrance of Kingston Tesco from my bedroom window, and have a fair sized chest freezer.

If you can confirm these are the ones (https://www.cryptodechange.com/content/uploads/2016/03/5052004594509.jpg) I will see what I can do for you :)

ps. Don't ask me why a cryptocurrency site has an image of tesco food ...

They do this a lot tesco, really annoying when something you have been buying for years just suddenly gets discontinued with no replacement.

If you can find out who manufactured them for Tescos they could still be making them for other supermarkets.

Saintsbury's sell them too and they're made in Belgium so I'd be pretty confident in saying they were the same producer as the Tesco variant.

Yes tesco are made in belgium as well will pop in and grab a bag and give them a go. Thanks.

How about keeping an old Tesco alphabet letters bag and put the new ones in that. When it comes to meal time, show her the bag?

Some of the posts in here are perhaps less sensitive than they could be... I grew up on alphabites and waffles for dinner because I struggled to deal with food textures and would gag and retch. I'm sure my parents were frustrated by it, in fact I know trying to get a nutritious balance of food in to me broke my mum. She'd try to hide foods, like steamed potatoes, with boiled, and I could pick them all out. Every night my family would have healthy, nutritious meals and I'd be sat there with a plate full of waffles and some bread. And like your daughter I'd have gone to hospital rather than eat anything different.

In my case by my late teens and early twenties I'd started to get over what ever it was causing my food issues and now I eat a fair variety of food, more than my wife who I'd consider a normal eater. Hopefully that will be the case for your daughter.

Sorry I don't have any remedy but I just felt I had to say something positive about it all because I know it's not easy and its a big fear for my little boy as he grows up. I hope you can find a resolution to your problem.

Good stuff.

I have two friends with kids on the spectrum, it's hard work and takes a lot of dedication, especially when they go through phases where there's no bond between them and their kids. The kids are completely disinterested, their parents may as well be complete strangers. I can't even begin to imagine what that does to a parent. OP I'll check our local Tescos this afternoon, good luck in the mean time.
