Tesco potato alphabets

I note that there's no quote from Mrs Passey in the article when she "claims Tesco is starving my autistic 5-year-old" as the headline broadcasts.

Of course not - then it wouldn't be freakshow enough for DM, so they make it up in the headline anyway. That's what they do. Just read this SHOCKING article to find out how.

Just read the whole thread tonight and was proud of OCUK pulling together helping someone. Seems it went a bit wayward somewhere as DM got involved but let's remember it's a child who needed a certain food and not focus on the DM stuff

I think what some members have done here is great, and more of an actual solution than going to the papers about it.

Hope you get all the alphabet potatoes you can store, but you really need to have a word with your Mrs over what is and isn't newspaper worthy.

Also bonus points awarded for epic compo faces displayed throughout article.

Christ guys, talk about turn a thread from demonstrating the positive actions of fellow ocukers helping one another out into one of just insults. Thread tidied. No more personal attacks or insults.

With the money from the DM article at least they'll be able to buy a walk in freezer and go round the country buying all the packets of potato alphabets they can find.

Disappointed with the judgmental attitude of some on this forum. Why some people feel a need to turn a positive thread into finger-pointing I don't know, but it's pretty shameful. This is a parent trying to do the best for their children whether that be through pressure on a retail in the press or by giving thanks to forum members for acts of kindness.

For those tempted to criticise for going to the press, please don't.

meh the DM article is a good thing.

hate the paper all you like but it increases the chance of a Tesco rep approaching the op and saying "heres the available stock we have left would you like it" as a cynical pr stunt or a well meant gesture of an employee.

either way it could help.

Lets face it everyone here would sell their soul for their daughters well being, a deal with the DM is fairly light on the scale

This thread has gone to ****.

Closing it, but I hope your daughter enjoys the alphabet shapes OP.
