Ye saw that the other day quite interesting as its a seperate Island and has the ferry docked be great if could take the ferry lol.

Also looks like its got a race track around it very interesting not long to wait to find out.

I know the main Island has a race track and also has Airport thats where you start game you come from airport where you choose character.

Then you have 5 cars (I think) to choose from to rent to get you to dealer to buy first car and house. :)

oooo, it's going to be PGR Numbuggering rally car mayhem all over again lol. I still remember the early PGR days when ocuk got onto that track. Half the peeps ended up spinning off all over the place :D

Brake hard as you go into the corner and just glide around it is the way i do it, as im coming out of the turn i accelerate hard...seems to work most of the time. Only times i come off is going over the bumpy roads...where it turns one way...dips quite low then turns to the right...always end up flying off there.

One thing i did notice last night while playing, is that if you blasting down a stretch of road at 170ish mph and your on the other side of the road. I found some of the cars just appear out of nowhere, coming straight at you:p lol. Mind you 90% of the time they veer off and crash, allowing me to hit my top speed :D.
Must be a bug somewhere as its kinda strange having an open straight road then bang 2-3 cars appear out of nowhere.
 
is this thread strictly only for the 360? becuase i will be getting it for the PC and was meaning to make a fragging team.

Just had my Official Xbox360 Magazine delivered, with a full review of TDU.

Summary: 9/10
+ Beautiful island scenery
+ Vast number of cars and challenges
+ Amazing Xbox Live features
+ User Friendly, polished interface
- Some pop-up and jerkiness

Grab the mag for more :)

Not sure but i beleive the pc version of Oblivion had some download feature where you could buy content online so im sure TDU will be the same. :)

Also it nothing concrete yet but i beleive the first 3 Car & Bikes packs to December are going to be free. :)

are these packs to unlock cars already mentioned? or are they additional cars?

I really hope we don't have to fork out more cash (real) to unlock all the cars.

No there 90 cars & bikes included with the game there going to add additional Cars & Bike packs for 12 months but we were told on Atari forum that the packs until december will be free so that 3 packs. (nothing concrete though)

The full game will have proper dealers like the lambo dealer in the demo you enter the dealer then all different vehicles are spread out.

Remember getting extra Cars & Bikes cost a lot to developers there will be 6 cars a month, and developing 1 car costs £10K + licence so it does not come cheap that why users end up paying. :)

That's all good then. Don't mind paying for extra cars just as long as there are plenty in game at the start.

I read somewhere this game has been 5 years in the making?

Yep 4/5 years its been in the making a lot of research has to been done Oahu a big Island getting it sattelite mapped is even bigger task. :)
 
Didn't realise it was an exact copy of that island neither.

I hope we can use that ferry to get to other islands. That would be ace.
