A warning for anyone - Do NOT backup your savegames onto a memcard. Whoever Atari's QA dept are, they're totally useless. This game has the most fragile save system I've ever seen, and people are losing weeks of work in seconds.

I've had to restart my game, and have returned to Chump level but losing my first saved game has totally killed my enjoyment of TDU. So much so that I spend half my time pondering as to weather its worth me continuing to play incase I get a corrupt msg again.

Atari a poor company? I don't think so. Fair enough thy do have money troubles but I doubt they need the money to accommodate the demand.

My guess is you all will be buying Halo 3? Have fun on launch day when you try to play online. Bungie are going to have a good guess but I bet you they still wont be able to cope with the demand.

I have a HDD and Memcard but all my saves are on my memcard now after I had to return my box. When I was trying to copy the saves over from HDD some of them wouldn't copy like DOA4 and PDZ. I later found out that you can change the storage device in the options. Think you can do that in TDU as well.

I got up to expert fairly quickly, Champion was a bit of a pain mind.

Loving the game, just a shame I can't connect to the servers. :mad:

Was looking forward to blasting my F430 around them mountain roads with no AI traffic.

Not quite sure what you meant to that to mean but even if you do connect to the servers you will still have AI traffic on the roads..

Just got my first 360 off the Bay of E yesterday with TDU.

Overall very impressed with it, went for the Alfa as my first car...which doesnt seem to handle all that well to me to be honest

Currently saving up for my next car though, not sure which one to get mind lol

Ordered a wireless adapter and a HD VGA TFT AV Cable today, which should be here tomorrow so I can play TDU in HD

Playing on a Toshiba 30WL46.

Any car suggestions for my next ride?

I thought the Alfa was a good handling car

as for your next one I'd download the free car pack and get your grubby driving gloves on a Skyline.

How much is the skyline? I only have about $130,000 at the moment.

I got the expert level very quickly, couple of hours play, but then i decided to go for the Explorer challenge (find all the roads) this has taken some 35 hours of gameplay :eek:

(doing the odd race to keep the money comming in) but i finally did it

And got a free house for my troubles..

I wouldn't of known that, as I haven't been able to connect for 4 days, might try it with another router. Thx for the headsup though.

I didn't read all of this, but, has anyone tuned up a Mustang recently? Saleen kit for it looks cool, but get the stock alloys when you buy the Mustang as the Saleen kit changes non stock alloys into horrible looking things but the stock into nice ones.

gave up on this game and nearly my 360 for awhile because my profile messed up and i lost all my saved games, I was at about 66% in TDU, covered all the roads etc..

Im not going through all that again.

im comming back because I wanna try the GOW demo tonight

Congrats on the 360 man, it's a top console. Good for heating the room during winter nights too

I'd recommend a slower car unlike most gamers who just hunt for the fastest thing on wheels (flamin saleen owners!). Get a US muscle car that rocks your room with sheer bass from the engines

Chevvy Camero, Shelby GT500 or a Pontiac Firebird!

ooo the firebird is fantastic! Annoying twits in their saleens by blocking their path = FUN!

Mind you I really like my stage 3 SLR. Going sideways around the corners is fun.

Gotta love the Firebird engine sound. I love my F430 Spider with its rather unique red seats though, nearly 700 miles on it.

Alfa's don't, we have a 147 TSpark 2.0l and it's turning circle is abysmal, you can't do a U-Turn on a wide street, hell, on wide public housing streets you're lucky if you can turn 90 degree's, it's 3/4/5-point turns all the time.
