Well after emailing Stephen @ Gameseek my order has now been posted.

This guy has been very friendly and helpful, but I will post here when the game actually arrives on the carpet mat ;)

has anyone actually got there copy from gameseek? right now in the uk...

So can anybody whos played the game tell me, is it easy to find your friends now? as in the beta the friends would show up on the big mapand you could spawn on them but it would take ages for them to acctually show up in their car, by that time they have most likely driven off anyway.

So, is it better in the retail version?
 
im hopeing a lot has changed,

will be nice to see what they have and havnt done.

if it comes tomorrow i will let you know, but from what i remember it was not to bad online, some issue's but would i expect to be fixed come the 16th ;)

yea it really is a cracking game,

it takes like a hour to go round the whole island. but its been awhile some i done it, so maybe less now.

check out the Gumball Club if you wish. should be Hot thing come launch day.

yes im sure it will be if you seen Gumball 3000, then im sure you'll know what they get up too. and its perfect for Test Drive Unlimited ;)

Although its no sim, each car has something different about it (and no, not just looks :p ). They all have there little imperfections and advantages like in real life. The island is fantastic, and the roads provide endless driving fun. This really is an excellent game, and i can see it winning awards if the online play is as good as expected.

Where did you get the game? :confused:

I'm thinking of pre-ordering, but if there's somewhere I can get it sooner, would be nice to know :)

Crud! I deleted my save game (Well, didn't back it up when I formatted.) Bummer.

The graphics look like they have improved since the Open Beta. But that might just be me.

I'm dissapointed to say i've had a lot of problems, and still have with the online bit, only got singleplayer to work ok, had trouble with that before too.

But when it works: its an awesome game, i really need more games as this, shame it doesn't have tuning it, and it could use more cars, but so far i like it, shame i only have a keyboard, but may actually buy a g25 for this game :).

Points of critics imo so far ignoring the bugs:
Motion blur, its unrealistic in some cases, especially with 3rd person camera, i usually in most games disable motion blur, and in this game especially it annoys the hell out of me, as it ruines the nice sights like mountains on the left/right of your screen when driving.
Controlls for keyboards, at slow speeds its fine but at high speeds its hard...
Detail on other, non-racer/playable cars...


Very good deatiled roads and landscape though, the drivable cars also look awesome, shame i cant use hdr and AA at once, but for other people my recommendation is to use AA, with 4x aa the cars look awesome compared to no AA...

As far as i can remember, motion blur can be turned off.

I noticed this too, but after a week, i got used to it, and was doing fine with keyboard, watch my stage 3 enzo video floating around one of the other TDU threads, i was using keyboard in that :p

Unfortunately i have to agree, the detail on non interactive AI cars is terrible, i have no idea why they used such ****** textures. But yes the scenery and the AI race cars are extremely well done, they use the same textures as the cars you use.

Last time i played TDU was in the last beta phase, and i had my old rig (6800gt) which couldn't do hdr and AA either. So im really looking forward to playing the full game with HDR + AA, now i have a x1900xt :D But yes, if your card doesn't support both, defiantly use AA over HDR.

TDU did not arrive this morning, even though Gameseek informed me that it was sent first class yesterday (I will give it two more days grace!)

Something tells me that now Gameseek have effectively processed my order, that I cannot cancel, and the parcel will, mysteriously, get delayed in the post until around the 15th/16th of the month......

Would be good to know if anyone else who ordered from gameseek gets the game over the following days.
