Tevez hands in transfer request

Some of the talksport editted things are funny. The one about Redknapp being asked if he will ever play Bentley is a personal fave :)

I imagine, it's Man City paying the taxes.

I can't see how he could convince HMRC he's a non-dom.

Wouldnt matter if he was, sportsman who play in the UK not only have to pay tax on all monies earnt while in the UK, but on a portion of all other money they earn worldwide in UK tax as well.

Which means Man City are definitely paying his taxes then (i.e. handling all of it for him and giving over the net amount). His salary is crazy.

He's not on 500k+ gross. It's City ffs, the press love nothing more than to take a figure and double it plus some for ***** and giggles. Read what DanH posted above about the wage bill, do people honestly think Tevez is on thirty million quid a year?!

In all likelyhood they've got Yaya Toures wage wrong, but after everyone settling on a nice round 220k per week, then the club coming out and saying Tevez is the most highly paid, all anyone had to do was pull a figure out their **** higher than that. And add 'tax free' for headline effect.

Fair enough :D.

I'd love to see their actual wage bill, I bet the likes of Lescott, Milner and Toure are on over £100k

there's no break down of wages by player but:

He added: "In 2009-10, we narrowly fell short of our goals on the pitch, but still achieved nine club records including our best-ever result in the Premier League."

Wage costs of £133m exceeded a turnover of £125m last year, which in the vast majority of businesses would be unsustainable. But City are owned by wealthy Sheikh Mansour of Abu Dhabi, who wants to see the club competing at the very top.

the accounts will be somewhere on the net if you can be bothered to look but that's from the bbc and is drawn from the accounts. As I said there is no way Tevez accounts for 30million of that. Even if you take that Toure's wages were overstated he's not going to be on much less than Tevez so you quickly see that considering the squad they've got it's nigh on impossible for those figures to be accurate.

Anyone watching Juve v City notice Cook and Jobrachin (tevez agent) sat next to each other?
Tevez isn't there so can't think of any other reason he would be there. Unless the Sheikh has told Cook to take him out in Turin and get what ever he wants?

It wasn't Kia, it was just a bloke who looks like him.

I thought he was home sick?

I think we need another top scoring striker right now untill Rooney starts scoring again. Berba might be the top scorer in the EPL but he scores 3 to 5 goals one week and then doesn't score again for ageeees. Chico is still adapating to the pace of the Premiership and Owen is always injured. We need Tevez. lol.

should have paid the money for him rather than Berbatov in the first place.
We didnt need Berbatov, we didnt need "another option" we needed to keep Tevez, especially with loosing Ronaldo at the same time.

IT wont happen the story is bull**** although there are two seperate papers running with it.

Berba is a good player but his style of play would fit in better if he played in Italy. He is that sort of player. He isn't a work horse like Rooney or Tevez... and I don't think anyone has told him the off side rule yet. :o

Berba leaving United wouldn't be a huge loss. Would make way for a more consistant striker.

why the hell would we take Tevez back?

Has he ever in his entire career been at a club for 3 seasons without kicking up a fuss against authority?
