Tevez hands in transfer request

there's no break down of wages by player but:

the accounts will be somewhere on the net if you can be bothered to look but that's from the bbc and is drawn from the accounts. As I said there is no way Tevez accounts for 30million of that. Even if you take that Toure's wages were overstated he's not going to be on much less than Tevez so you quickly see that considering the squad they've got it's nigh on impossible for those figures to be accurate.

Its worth pointing out that if Tevez signed a new ridiculous contract this season, that wouldn't mean anything vs last years wages, and the same goes for Toure and other people, the wage bill will be significantly higher this season and if its suddenly 300mil, then 30mil wouldn't sound unreasonable.

But its really this simple, as of City getting money all the transfers now decide wages are the actual wage, the potential yearly bonus, the transfer fee itself, signing on fee, agents fee all averaged out over the length of the contract.

We've done this before, if you take Berbatov at a guess of 100k a week over a 4 year contract but randomly as never previously add his 32mil transfer fee was it, average it across 4 years and add to his wage and the papers could claim he'll cost you 250k a week, shock, horror.

Adebayor deal was all of a sudden super inflated in the same way.

As for the wage, didn't the rumour come from Rodney Marsh, and didn't it turn out to be a supposed improved contract that he didn't actually sign anyway. So basically its all completely rubbish anyway.

What did they actually pay for Tevez in the first place, because there was a whole thing about at the time he was 25mil or something, but 6 months later a rumour that he really cost 45mil or something nuts. Anyway, through that, and agent fee's, and signing fee's and you've got entirely no idea what the real wage is.

Maybe the club have agreed to sell him in jan/summer but think they will get more money without the transfer request still active...?

Or, he could have just changed his miind. :p

Might be the same contract, no doubt he's probably been given a lump sum though!

Quite possibly. The important thing is the club hasn't come out of this looking like John Wayne. Nor did our manager have to practically cry on TV to get the press behind us. I'm afraid there's little way this can be turned into bad press now. It's been handled very well, even a non-city fan would have to admit.

Gimp: Rooneys just cropped out of shot I presume? :p

woop woop!! :p
Tonight we will see if he does want to stay at the club.
Must say it has been handled really well and by the looks of it there has been no change in contract which is good.

Id be amazed if he's still there come September, having said that though non united fans probably think the same where Rooney is concerned

Rooney wants to win trophies, united can offer than. Man City.... can give you a big wage packet. If that doesn't float your boat then you are a little stuck for reasons to stay.

Tevez stated that it was problems with management and homesickness that were behind his desire to leave. Its pretty hard to fix one of those.
