Great game that has a lot more depth than people think. It is easy to learn but difficult to master. Awesome game.
Advice: As a pyro hide around corners and stay out of site, then RUSH the enemy and burn them when they around a corner in a group........ Gangbang BBQ !!!!!
And try not to play too much as a sniper, many people do it on capture the flag matches or goldrush (best level eva 1111111) and it turns into camping wars :/
Other classes are great fun, and a good team will adapt tactics, send in spies to disable a senties, then an invulnerable heavy with a medic etc etc. The list goes on it is sublime !

bet you suck lolIts a good game, its easy enough to be able to run around and get kills etc but constantly winning fights and winning clan matches is definitely not easy

Yes I do, thats what I meant by opposite day. I play engie, sniper and Pyro mostly. Soldier and demo the least. But yes, your assumption is right, I do suck as most.
The people who genuinely hate it tend to be those who are either too obsessed with being a one man army and/or can't deal with the possibility of a "noob" killing them with a random crit, so in that respect the game is better off without them.
TF2 is top fun and the first FPS since Quake 2 that has really captured my attention. As mentioned previously don't let the cartoon graphics fool you - there is depth to it and even on public servers skill shines through.

To put it in to context I had bought for me COD4 and its ultra realistic in comparison and do you think I can get into it?
I feel as though I have to be in the mood to play COD4 and allocate some time to pay attention to what I'm doing. TF2 I just wander on to my favorite server and crack on regardless.

Played tonight, really good fun. Reminds me of my old Savage Q2 league days with mad action going on. Only thing was, some of the maps that it downloads are a bit crap. Are these Valve maps or add-ons? Anyway to specify a game using just the inbuilt maps? I did connect to the OcUK server, but it was empty

True, especially with all the leagues changing to (boring) non-crits.
Mario Kart map gives me nightmares
Buy it's a Sniper's wet dream. Makes you appreciate all the time Valve take balancing maps.
It's a freaky map alright, fun in parts though, once you don't get stuck on the bus or in the walls..
Well it doesnt make for big KAPOW moments but I prefer no crits for matches :/ makes the game a little less random
I used to be more of a fan of crits etc but I do believe that the game is better without them. People die quick enough as it is in TF2 when compared to a lot of other games :/ crits arent really needed.
