TF2 MvM update (now with co-op mode)

So why does hardly anyone use it now? I still play tf2 nearly everyday and it's very rare I see a scattergun and like I said I've did a test where 6 shots of scattergun did less damage than FaN shoot/reload 3 times. Plus FaN knockback is very useful against heavies.

It's well known that the scattergun is actually a much better weapon than the FaN.

The only thing the FaN is useful for is having a laugh with the knock back or utilising the utility that the knock back brings.

For actually killing things effectively just put on the scattergun and be done with it.

Just because in 6 shots one does more damage than the other does not make it more effective at killing.

It is more effective if you have a play style where you get up very close and if you're accurate. It can kill in 1 or 2 shots at very close range where the scattergun will take 2 or 3 shots.

Who do you play for? We probably have people in common.

The best UK guys back in the day for a laugh and actual good games were Dunc, Huhy, F1, TopGear, Abom etc. Don't think any of them still play anymore. Haven't heard from them, anyway.

I don't think you know anyone I play with to be honest. This is my team: http://etf2l.org/teams/12368/

We don't play anymore I'm afraid. We started off as a TC team, if you've heard of that community.

Contradiction.

Knockback weapon with an up close and personal playstyle. Somewhat counter-productive.

The scattergun is still better up close and personal. 3-4 shots with the scattergun with no pauses, no reloads, just you in complete control. No waiting for a gun. No knockbacks to contend with.

This is seriously a 100% L2P issue.

SERIOUSLY SERIOUS!?

Bow to the king scoot.

It's not a L2P issue at all. It works fine for me in pubs and that's all I play as well as more than 90% of the tf2 community play. You have to think you competitive players are a small percentage of the community as a whole.

10% of the community that have 90% of the experience and knowledge.

Think about it.

Also I use Scattergun all the time in pubs too. :o

That's far from true, there's plenty of players who have played the game since release in public only and are very good players they just don't want to/or have the time to play competitively.

Don't have time? It's like 1-2 matches per week. TF2 Lobby / pickup games are as quick and easy to get into as any pub-- they even have server browsers just for it. You're just making inane remarks now so I'll take it this has come to its natural conclusion :o

Considering you have to practice and matches are at scheduled times where people might be at work etc I think you're wrong.
