What OS are you using?

I'm using vista x64 and I sometimes ( read as, once per 15 hours of playing at most) also get a crash to desktop during play, this happens so rarely I barely care about it though...

My mate on vista32 is complaining about errors and crashes too, especially during map changes for him...

But except for very rare things, I have no real problems with tf2...
Have you tried a different OS to see if it fixes it ?

You are playing pubs vs relative newbies all the time bud, even I as sniper can get a 15-1 ratio throughout those. (not that I think Bloodsire is amazing either). Very few snipers can perform in matches these days as 2 scouts are almost always a better choice.

If you play in the top divisions now it's a lot different to what it was back when it started. Quality of player and teams have improved and there's a far vaster number of teams also.

I see you still have it in the mindset that players stick to one class for an entire game :( Im wondering if you do in fact play in div1 in etf2l though, admittedly i dont recognise your name to be in a top team. When i merc for people these days its usually scout/sniper dependant on the situation.

Tbh, looking through the top teams theyre still mostly the same as they were previously, a few exceptions as clans get bored and quit (like mine) and a few reshuffles of the people that wanted to keep playing.

Actually i really am glad im not playing competitively anymore as we'd still be playing the same group of 25-30 people over and over and over and over again.
 
Doesnt really break anything.. team game, use communication.

A great demoman can clear the flagroom solo, an average demo/heavy/pyro+Medic uber rush the same.
 
I know teamwork would've cleared it but just seems that the team goes to the battlements and stands confused as the enemy team pour out of the teleporters behind them. I had a mate helping me but the two of us V two L3 sentries wasn't working, didn't help that I'm not a good demoman and as a spy can't set sappers placed.
I know its a valid tactic just every 2fort I've played on recently had engr's doing it.

I don't have another OS to use and i don't really want to use another(I'm on 32bitVista Home premium), to be more specific my problems are:
Takes ages to load up and when it does if i click the mouse of the valve bit it crashes.
When changing graphical settings and pressing apply crashes every time.
Servers take ages to load due to the game freezing for about 60 seconds on the loading bit
Crashes quite often during game but usually withing the first minute, if it lasts that long if dosen't crash.
MOST ANNOYING; ENGINE ERROR WHEN JOINING A SERVER ***** ***** SOO ANNOYING.
And just a general gripe is that the game dosen't use Dual Core/Quad and matt queue crashes instantly so i get bad FPS

As you can see unstable for me
