ok, looks like i'm not playing for a while. Had to swap machines around due to some customer hardware not working with vista or the new motherboards and i'm stuck with some prebuilt pos acer. with onboard video. I've got 1 pci-e vid card to my name, which is a gf7300 (lite version, no dvi, only 1 d-sub, passive cooling as it doesn't work that hard, etc) and i tested it last night and averaged about 2 spf (yes that is the right way around), stuttering sound, lag on controls, etc. Machine is dual core, but only 1 gig of ram, SOOO many things that need fixing!

From what i remember there is a slider in the video options that lets you change the view angle.

You get to see anim a fraction of a second earlier before he kills you.

Bugger off, i'm stuck with onboard intel graphics right now as my "spare" pci-e card (which is a bum basic POS anyway), doesn't have any paste under the heatsink and i think i've cooked it, ARGH!
Kids are having a great time playing flash games with fairies and cakes on my 6800gt though. I'm not bitter. Much.

I tried! However fiddling with the graphics options didn't quite pan out right.
Got it sorted in the end, in a window. See how my uber powerfull gfx chipset can't even draw the lamp above the door!

That means a demo/soldier must be able to sticky/rocket jump to that ledge
