Lets face it, vanilla respawn doesnt attract all that many people (or , close to vanilla respawn anyway). . add into that maps which put a lot of people off (Turbine, 2Fort, Badlands)..

Well, Dustbowl and Goldrush are about the only maps which regularly pull in players, especially without the added lure of instant respawn.

Well, Dustbowl and Goldrush are about the only maps which regularly pull in players, especially without the added lure of instant respawn.

Vanilla respawn is fine, most of the time its the maps, i seen 2fort and badlands empty a server as soon as it switches to it.
The only way to attract people onto a server is to get it to start with a handfull on allready.
Most people will not join a server if it's empty or there is only a couple on, get into double digits then normal you will find it will fill up quite quickly.

Just do the usual, try to organise a time for all us to go on. Tell your friends, family, other forums, etc. It will fill up once 10 or so people are on. Dustbowl is good to get people on the server to start with, I've found.

I much prefer instant/ fast respawn times compared to vanilla.

Also, the map rotation needs to be seriously looked at..

Checked the server twice yesterday and was empty both times

Seems to be too many PL maps in a row, all I've ever seen on there is Goldrush and Badwater lately. 2fort seems to be marmite to people and Gravel Pit seems to be unpopular too - though I can't think why when I've seen the map won and lost in equal measure.

Are cp_well and cp_granary in the rotation?

Hmm granary ive never seen do that, but definitely well... and 2fort seems to drive people away.
