It's cyclists that case so much hassle to us BMW drivers and should stay off the road. Its a well known fact that us BMW drivers own the road, its simple. We're not above the law, we are the law on the roads. It's quite simple, unless you have a BMW badge just stay out our way.
Simples.
I hope you're ok, and I do agree with the above post. If you're riding a motorcycle one of the first things you're taught is to ride the middle of the road and take the space you need, not apologetically hug a curb.
You didn't do that - it is plain to see - but you did cut the previous corner at which point the BMW was probably right up behind you waiting for space. When the corner turned the other way and you were nearer the curb the BMW driver probably thought there was space where there was none, and tried to pass.
If I was cycling (me or motorbike - whatever) I'd have taken up more of the road and moved over to the right, leaving no space. You're clearly not a slow rider, so I'm surprised you didn't do this.
In an ideal world you should have to do this, but it is about minimising the opportunity for risk. You could have taken another yard or so and forced the BMW behind you until the oncoming lane cleared a bit and there was more space - just some 50 yards ahead.
That was way too close.
Here's a little tip though - I would highly advise against swearing at such people. Whilst you may think it's justified, I've lost count of the amount of times I've seen videos such as this where the driver decides to take offence.
If they're moronic enough to put your life in danger, they could well be moronic enough to assault you.
One day the people who get out of their cars to assault someone will pick the wrong person to start on. Hopefully...

Looks like a classic case of a car driver expecting all cyclists to be doing about 8MPH all the time and finding the gap they thought they had isn't there. By the time they're there, the cyclist is in the gap because they were going more than twice the speed they had anticipated.
I get a similar thing almost daily - my run to work is downhill in a 30mph zone and I'm on the rear brake to keep my speed down to that. People will step out into the road, pull out of side roads or driveways right in front of me. I've taken to riding in the middle of the lane now so I've got 2 ways to go if I need to!

Yes it's his fault and he was in the wrong. But what you need to think about is how you can stop it happening next time.
The key point to remember is that if you don't want someone to overtake at a point in a road, like in your video where there is not room for a car to overtake safely, then position yourself in a strong position so that there isn't room for them to overtake at all.

Maybe they hope to educate fools who do not even realise what they are doing is stupid and dangerous to cyclists.

Are you actually being serious? When someone does a manoeuvre that causes you to damage your car do you just let them get away with it?
Cyclist's are just as important as you on the road so why do you look down on them?
Just because some riders are idiots doesn't mean that they all are, all cyclist's I know are perfectly safe road users and to anyone who doesn't drive like a retard, not a problem.
