Off to Gym tonight, didn't go on Sunday, I thought it would be better to start chucking old Car Parts away and tidying my garage. /procrastination...

My plan is to do my Legs today, proper Squats, all the way down...maybe get my Personal Best as well.

I also plan to do some Ab work and Deadlifts today.

Deads normally come on a back day, theres no way you will be able to put the proper amount of energy into both squats and deads on the same day. The last thing I wanted to do while I was steadying myself on the squat rack this morning was even think about moving onto deads :D

Hehe :D That's a fair point!

Hehe, I never know which day to do Deadlifts on, so that's my thinking. Leg Days normally take me only a short time, as it's usually only Squat, Leg Extensions, Dead Lifts and Hamstring Curls.

Hmm..I wonder if I should just do Squats today haha.

Squats
Leg Extensions
Leg Press
Leg Curl
Seated Calf Raise
Calf Press

This is what I do on a leg day.

Deadlifts for me are the first thing I do on a back day. I do legs on Monday and back on Friday.

Very good :)

I'll have to remember these for tonight, mostly machines (apart from the Calf Press and Squat) which can be done with free weights.

Does anyone else here get aggro from their other half from their life style? IE, working your normal day shift, then going to the gym annoys them as they feel ignored/under appreciated? Then there's eating, where they seem to get annoyed with how much food you eat? Even if you're actually working in a calorie deficit? Even though your diet is extremely lapse when you're around them, as you don't wish for your own habits/life style to impose on theirs..........?

Or is this just me?

My other half is very understanding although doesn't do any of it herself, it's the kids that are a pain in the butt :D They kinda look at me with a WTF face and move on.

Only the youngest seems to want to get/be active but she's only 6 so getting under a barbel is not really an option yet!!!

My ex and the ex before that hated it. "Why do you have to take protein?" "Why do you have to always eat before bed, one time won't make a difference?" "Why do you have to eat all the time?" "Why can I see veins?" blah blah

Thankfully they are ex's now

Send them all my way. I'll give them all a seeing too :D

Mine has been for a couple of years. She finally got herself into the gym so I don't get it anymore :p

2 things:

I'm gonna be doing a routine that is essentially a basic strongman routine, which has deads and squats on the same day! Should be interesting and not a quick session lol

Also, signed up to esporta today! getting membership for about half price for the family so can't argue! none of this joining fee to get some towels and a bag either!

good luck with that. :D
I tried doing squats and deadlifts on AGVT in the same day, 10 sets of each.:o
gave up the idea after the first time I tried it.:D

Yes, my enthusiasm got the best of me, plus the fact that I did do it with my first GVT cycle even though it was taxing.

However the much heavier weights on the Advanced Version were too much.
