Does anyone find if they go to the gym in the morning they are slightly stronger? I've been going to the gym all the time before it closes, 8.30pm - 10pm but I decided to go when the gym opened at 6am! I've never felt so strong and fresh lifting weights! Any one else feel the same way?

I've always been a morning person and used to be in the gym for opening time at 6:30 every morning. I think any increase in performance would balance itself out though over a long period of time though.

Some days you just don't want to wake up or didn't sleep well and then your performance may drop. Just like going later in the day will depend on what kind of day you had and your nutrition during the day.

If you are stronger in the mornings then it would suggest to me that you aren't getting the right nutrients in to your body before training in the evenings. Or I could be talking rubbish :p
 
Simply makes sense to me that your body will be fully rested and ready to expend some energy after waking up, compared to having endured an entire day of work and fun before then further stressing it......?
 

Crap!! This guy would so give me a run for my money. I really need to up my game!

Haha I can do that! Well if tried for another 1RM squat I might haha.
I've not tried since I hit 160 back in June 2010.

On another note, physio at 1pm, they say I get to play with some t bands to help strengthen the tendon and hamstring today.

After I'm all fixed and can use my knee propperly again I'll have to start squatting right again. Hell I can start doing anything that involves my leg, including just picking up a weight.
 
Well back from the old physio. Bugger dug this thumb in hard on the tendon to apply friction. Plus all the little push and pull exercises while applying pressure and resistence.

He also found a trigger point in my hamstring that affects my injury, so he dug his ******* elbow in there and kept applying more pressure.

Says if I stay away from any training that uses my legs ( or activates the hamstring ) I should be grand, and I can start doing Body Weight training for my legs next week.
 
Hate working out after work, I'm an early bird now-a-days. However one benefit is that I get to take a couple of scoops of Jack3d - means I'll be tweaked off my face for the workout \o/

900 calorie oat/protein pancakse. Nom Nom!

Really need to get some new pictures up, it's been a while! Still lean, aiming for 13stone.

13 stone is a good goal, it's what I'm aiming for. I'm 12.7 at the moment, and about 12.5 in my last pics on the post your pics thread. At 13stone carrying not a lot of fat, I think it will be just right.
 
Is anyone looking for some whey?

I've got 3kg of cookies and cream whey, and 2.5kg of chocolate mint whey from MyProtein. I seem to have developed an intolerance to sucralose and I get a headache from taking it, so I've got 5.5kg of perfectly good whey to do something with.

£25 + P&P and it's yours

Edit: Sorry, it was chocolate mint, not nut.

Is it Impact Whey? I'll take the 2.5kg of chocolate mint if you're prepared to sell that separately. How much would you want for it?
