nice first lift, 420kg.
2nd squat - 455kg fail. Now, 455kg is a **** load of weight to be spotting no matter who you are, but look at these little lads!! Surely they should be using a decent mechanism by now :(
3rd squat - 455kg fail. guessing this was only because of depth, which didnt look too bad really.

relatively weak deadlift in comparison to rest of his stats!

Morba are you swimming for general exercise or to reduce your bf%? I've not looked at the scales in a week or so now, I need to start seeing some movement now but I'm quite scared that I won't!

general exercise, need to be fitter. No intention to lose weight, as can be seen by my food intake lol :D
talking of food, it's lunch time :D

Yeah, it's definitely showing on my shoulders, but then dragging 130kg through water for near on 2km a time is gonna do that lol :D

Ideally I want to be swimming each morning before work, leaving me time in the evenings to get back into throwing some weights around.

1:30 onwards. motherofgod.jpg kai green is a monster. that back

He needed that a lot.
Home ground too, always a good place to win.
A poor Mr O last time seems to have kicked him up the rear, which is no bad thing. Means there is more than 2 people in it for the next Mr O, which imo Jay has in the bag already!!

Can someone tell me what's so great about squatting, it's all people seem to go on about on these forums???

Anyone care to enlighten me?

One of the best answers I've read to this question:

it's fun in a slightly weird masochistic way.

:D Nice one spw :D

There have been some studies recently that have said that doing squats DOES NOT make a difference to the growth of the rest of the body.
These have not been taken up universally and seem to have been generally ignored.
That is because, for me atleast, squats are bodybuildings bees. You know that bees are not meant to be able to fly?

Whether more natural growth hormone is released when doing big compounds or not, squats combine so many muscle groups and work each of them sufficiently that you get a good work out all over.

Even if only mentally, the feeling of moving heavy numbers (be it squat or deads) will make you feel better about yourself, which will help growth in itself as it will reflect across the rest of your training.

anyway, got into the pool tonight, 1h20m later I get out with a big smile on my face.

100 lengths!
all breastroke, and my form is **** tbh. Head above water at all times (well 95% of time) and leg action is not symetrical at all. so it was harder on my body than it should be lol.

130kg up and down the pool 100 times!! go me :D
