300kg partial deadlift from below the knee today, plenty still in the tank :D

A little sore in a few places today, need the weekend to rest.

Epic session today :)!

Did my 5x5 deadlifts got 150kg easy again but working my way up to 160kg or higher, I'll see how I feel. But just for fun after I did a 170kg single and then for more fun a pb of 180kg :). Both felt really easy so I'm chasing that 200kg fast :p. There will be a video following shortly :).

Also got a triple figure bench for the first time :). I did my 5x5 at 80kg which felt quite nice, quick and easy and then later on while spotting my brother I decided to do a single of 100kg. Got it! It was a struggle but I'm still pleased.

Edit: also dropped a 25kg plate on my foot. Ow! Fairly badly bruised little toe and the two next along. Don't think I broke anything as I did this before all of the deadlifting. I hope I haven't broken anything anyway. :(

Goals:
4 plate deadlift: Tick
Triple figure bench: Tick

:D:D:D:D:D

I'm being told that superpump max is better than jack3d, and then its even better again when stacked with plasmajet.

anyone know of those 2?

i know superpump max, its the new version of superpump 250 or whatever it was before, never heard of plasmajet.

tbh you need to try them out and see for yourself. i know all the main ones, they are superpump, jack3d, white flood, 1 MR and no-xplode. i have done a lot of reading on bodybuilding.com and they are all the top ones.

Bicep recommended ASGT by lg sciences (but he is a rep for them), but he guaranteed it is good stuff. so i got a few tubs.

i have 2 samples of superpump 250 (but i aint tried it yet, my cousin said its good), i have jack3d and i can say its a lot better than white flood (i had 3 samples), never tried no-xplode either. i have ASGT but not tried it yet, waiting for my first tub of jack3d to run out. 1 MR was really good too.

so all i can say is jack3d and 1 mr are solid, white flood was poor in comparison. not tried superpump yet, but i will next week and see how it goes and i will try ASGT in a few months. dont plan on ever trying no-xplode (bsn are way overpriced).

Gaspari make solid products, so i reckon Jack3d and superpump (either version) are top products competing for the number 1 spot. i went with Jack3d as it was cheaper (i bulk bought from USA). ASGT was even cheaper than those 2 from USA so i got that as well to compare it with jack3d.

all i can say is that Jack3d makes my workouts insane, i mean a workout without jack3d doesnt even feel like a workout. i can go longer, harder, deeper, etc. its really good stuff, the difference in workouts is huge.

No fair, you gonna hit 300 before me :(
that equiped?

Yeah I strapped up, my forearms are still tender from deadlifting with a fat bar. This was after my normal deadlifting session (fast 5x5 @ 185kg), but was back home for the day so got to use a decent bar. Still a fair way off 300 from the floor mate! Got to see how my hand holds up too (battered fingers from american football), but so far so good.

Plan is to find my max at this height and then work down to the floor over my next program, while doing light deficit deads and regular deads on separate days.

I've got a video of it too, must get round to posting it with the lifts from the comp at some stage.

I'll race you there brother :). I'll let you keep the 50-odd-kg headstart I let you have already :)

Was back in hospital again for a few weeks, not trained in 3 months now pml. Lost about half stone, sitting at 15.5 stone but leaner tbh, abs all out etc. Everythings still same size just some depletion in muscle glycogen, easy enough to put back on when I decide to go back to training.

glad you are back out of hospital

I ditched fizzy drinks years back, drink a fair amount of water (and coffee !!) during the day as well as pure fruit juice in the morning - but about 1/2 my fluid intake a day is "squash" - whats better for you - or another way round whats less worse for you - "diet" - no-sugar Squash (which is full or Aspartamine etc) or high quality "sugary" squashs (been drinking a nice organic one this week which is 20% fruit, but has sugar in it)

also - whats recommended for "clean" carbs and protein sources please ? I'm trying to put on muscle at the moment without gaining much (or too much) weight. I've been training for about 9 months so far and lost 4 stone, don't need to or want to loose any weight now - but I don't want to start piling on pounds - but do want to get stronger.

thanks Buckster

carbs:
Oats, sweet potato, couscous, lentils, quinoa

protein:
Fish/meat, eggs

Remember you need fat in your diet too, I'm sure theres more examples in the sticky

thanks The_Craig - wife is "semi-Veg" - so we eat fish every night (either salmon, haddock, etc) - so I try 2-3 times a week to have a nice stuffed full sandwich of ham :)

problem is I'm always so hungry these days - so each time I have ham for lunch I have the whole pack (150g of ham I think) -and still feel hungry

have started getting into sweet potatoes so glad thats a good sauce, will try out some of the other carb suggestions - thanks :)

got to get my wedding ring re-sized, its fallen off twice this week ! - I couldn't even wear it 12 months ago - wouldn't get onto my finger

ok thanks - its more than I'd have eaten meat wise before - so glad I'm not going over the top :)

need to buy some new trousers this week -even 30 with a belt is getting a bit loose ! - 28 next :) - not bad considering 11 months ago - I was struggling to do up 36 and was about to buy 38s !

150g of meat isn't that much, so don't worry about it, I eat way more than that in one sitting regularly. Although some variety would be good for you... but it's awesome that you eat a lot of fish.

Likewise with the squash, if you're concerned just make it slightly weaker ;). What do the labels say?

Nice work on the weight loss so far. TBH if you're not trying to lose more weight then just eat more protein sources and keep an eye on visual markers and the scales.

I personally would rather take the risk with sugar filled squash than stuff with aspartame in it.

Eat it all the time so that you constantly smell of it. Eventually people will just begin to think it's you that smells and in time will get used to it. At uni the workshops people used to make a big fuss about it but it was the uni workshops so I didn't really care!

Haven't got a clue how to stop it smelling other than to just buy it in brine/fresh water if you can as opposed to the flavoured sauces.

Well, I find the tomato tinned ones are less smelly actually...otherwise as you say by ones in different 'sauces' ie brine / sunflower oil

Really happy with what I've just started doing. I've stopped training biceps at the gym and recently got a pullup bar at home so all of my bicep work will be done on that. I've always wanted to get good at pullups too. My goal is to be able to do about 15 dead hang pullups and chinups with good form. It will also help with lat development too. :) I can now focus more on chest, shoulders, back and legs in the gym! :D
