Thank you, I'll have a look :)

When you say capping kit...Could I just use one of those flour type jars with a locking lid? :p

lol,

as mentioned above, you make your capsules yourself, but its best to do all in the one go, when you open the tub up, so make sure you have some spare time.

this stuff attracts moisture from the air like crazy, so its best not to leave exposed (like i said i think its made from a special type of cactus in india - makes sense). once the moisture gets into the powder, it will start deteriorating so it up to you whether you want to risk it with powder.

it is expensive, but buy 1 tub and see what happens, if it works, then you wont hesitate to buy again in the future, that's how well it worked for me.

i know you said money is tight, but have you explored your options fully? housing, jobs, etc?

Just a quick update of me. Currently still the same bloody weight at 12st 5 :@ but muscle coming on ok.
Still dont know how to pose properly for my back :p but traps really need to work on. Heavy Shrugs after everyworkout from now on

Hiya, yep, I know what a capping kit is now :p...Don't think i'd be upto that at this present time...But maybe in the future, i'll see if I can invest in the capsules for the time being, otherwise I'll buy lots of small jars! ;).....joking

But i'll give thema go hopefully, cause this is annoying me....and to be honest, i think there is something underlying wrong with me cause...But what I know about my body? :p

Aye money is tight...We're moving out in May, so hopefully find somewhere more affordable, and the lady has said she will pay slightely more if needs be (because im so well paid in my current role)...Problem is I hate changing jobs all the time, and I never know what I actually want to be doing with myself in the long run.

Who knows, hopefully this stuff will work...I've tried glucozamine etc, but i think that just made things worse =/

that is capsule and powder form, this stuff tastes horrible though and absorbs moisture from the air at an extraordinary rate, so if your going to go down the cheaper powder route, i would buy a capping kit and capsules and cap it yourself.

what does this magic pill do?

it is 100% natural made from a plant (i think its a type of cactus in india)
it is anabolic (like a natural steroid)
it is a natural painkiller (only kills pain in joints/bones,etc, not headaches)
it can supposedly repair/build new tendons
it can strengthen bones and joints
has been used for thousands of years as medicine in india (i know a lot of people dont know much about indian medicine, but ill tell you right now, some of the best doctors in the world are in india and a lot of indians actually get a lot of medical stuff done in india when they go on holiday there, because you can get the best medical care in the world for the cheapest price in the world)

theres lots of other things it has been claimed to do, i used this stuff for a few days for my shoulder after i hurt it training and it was like black magic, im going to start using it again after my physio has finished.

i know its expensive, but if you buy 1 tub and try it out, its probably the best thing you can take for joint/bone/tendon injuries.

100% natural.

I've been using this for about 10 years on and off. It's a great plant, along with Rhodiola Rosea.

However, it's not anabolic at all. It's anti catabolic and and anti-glucocorticoid, also lowers cortisol activity. It can't build new tendons, but is an anti-inflammatory and general analgesic properties (it is considered and NSAID) and can relieve gastric disorders unlike other opoids. Furthermore, it contain phytosterols which are a good antioxidant and good for cholesterol control

just back in and fairly happy with progress. Still doing strong lifts 5X5,supposed to be squat, BOR's and bench press tonight, so did that and then did 5X5 deadlifts as well as I was feeling fine.

Squats now at 45kg, deadlift was 4 sets of 50kG with the last set at 60kg (but my grip is really poor, didn't feel confident with it), bench press at 40kG. BOR's at 35kg. All weights exclude bar, is that how you're supposed to record it?

I think I need to look at my diet next. We eat very well i.e. pretty much everything from fresh ingredients but I'm not sure how it breaks down into protein, carbs etc. There are so many sites out there with information which ones would people recommend as reliable?

Thanks in advance :)

Nah, include the bar when calculating your weights. It is weight after all! :)

I typically don't add the weight of the bar on to my lifts when I'm using the smith machine though..... Probably because a 20kg oly bar doesn't feel like 20kg on a smith machine!

Every Smith Machine I've ever used has been partially supported, I'm trying to think of the right phrase but effectively the machine has some form of offsetting of the bar so that it is either almost neutral in weight (i.e. will stay where it is if left) or minimal weight (<5kg). So nope, you shouldn't be counting it as 20kg, in fact I'd be inclined not to think of the bar as weight for a Smith at all.

Still missing the gym and running here but I'm supposedly to be booked in for an MRI scan soon, let's see if that finds anything at all.

Feeling really battered about at the moment, hopefully things will settle down next week which is when I plan to start powerlifting again.

Just been doing some higher rep work this week, although nothing big on any push exercises because my shoulder is in need of some tlc (got some good rehab stuff for it now though).

Notable lifts so far:

Deadlift 200kgx10 after warming up and doing 180 and 190.
Dips bw+40kgx8 nothing amazing, I just wanted do to SOMETHING with my chest that didn't bother my shoulder too much.

Tomorrow I plan to hit 165kgx10 on squats. Should be do-able really considering 5rm is 190kg, but we'll see!

Should my knees ever feel in pain after lifting?

Also doing a lot of running, but my knee has some pain about it just now.

Hm...good to know freefaller :)

So...shall I try this stuff or? I'm o fed up with my body right now I could cry :p

Give it a go - don't expect miracles though, your body still needs to recover as it would (by rest) however, it helps to alleviate symptoms and pain considerably in my experience. That along with RR are great plant extracts. Cissus I'd take before bed (usually 2-3 caps) make sure you get the 50% stuff though, each cap is about 800mg, if you want the anti inflammatory/recuperative properties of it - take it throughout the day if you're after the anti-catabolic properties.

RR should be taken in the morning, normally first thing (on an empty stomach) and then later in the day. Really helped me, but I respond well to adaptogens but only in short cycles 4-6 weeks.

Ah okay cheers :)

I'll see what I can do...Need to check my budget for this month and decide from there :(

Also going to look at how much it would cost me for a months sub at the local pool next to where I work
