It depends on what your working set is, it might not be the most sensible approach but a few of the bigger guys at our gym who bench 180+ will literally jump straight in at 100kg.
Since the start of the year I've been exercising fairly hard and keeping away from carbs (except fruit and veg) and cheese. Holy moley, definitely some change already! A couple more months and I'll be a sexual tyrannosaur.
I think the secret is to not bee too obsessive about it. Do generally well and the result will present itself. We shall see!
I'd understand it a tiny bit more if it is about half your working set or something but still, for me, I think I'd snap something if I went full on without any kind of warm up.
grudas, is this after a general warm up though, or maybe after a different exercise, or straight in from outside, boom working set. (Which is what this guy did).
The only thing I do prior to deadlifts is cycle to gym which is a 10minute ride and do my pull ups which sit at 12x4 right now, then straight on to deads! 100kg for me in this case has got quite light and I have no problems doing 10 reps for 3-4 sets.. When it comes to other exercises say, squats, benches, lat pulls, I do warm up for those!
