No chance of 5000 miles, it resets every fillup. It tends to be 33mpg over a tank though. Remarkably good for a big boat sedan with a V6 and slushbox, the old Lexus would do 19mpg and was slower.
I reset my trip computer on every fill up but since I track my mileage and fuel usage, I can tell you that over 6000 miles in my Cayman S, my average MPG is 23.41.
Fuel monitor on my phone tells me I've done around 5000km since starting to use it and my consumption is 15.12l/100km, which is 18.7mpg. That's been pretty consistent unfortunately.
Yup. It is just a toy though and only gets used when i fancy a blast out. I reckon 140 miles to £40 would be achievable if i drove it proper sensible, impossible task though lol.
The Focus has a ave of 41.7mpg going by the onboard computer.
My long term trip resets every 2k but the car has averaged pretty much bang on 28mpg since i've owned it (around 12k miles) - unsurprisingly similar enough to the other vag tsi's already listed.
Over my last 10 fuel up's i've averaged 68.2 MPG, an average tank is 531 miles so that should satisfy the requirement apart from the literally impossible picture of something which doesn't exist
