THE 50K CHALLENGE: NEW MUSTANG ON THE WAY, BUT WOULD 50K BE BETTER SPENT ON ANOTHER MARQUE?

If it wasnt evident enough before, you certainly are showing that you are nothing but jealous.

Some of us like reading his updates, looking what he does, why he does things etc, should I stop posting in my thread about my GTR also? How about in February that I am having brake discs put on worth more than your entire car, should I avoid that update because it offends you?

Quite simply put, if you don't like reading Gibbos posts in motors, stop opening the threads.

no you dont cause me offence because you aren't loud and gobby with the same mustang threads being opened all the time.
it does not bother me at all you spending money on your cars, or him, that's not what's annoying me here........... it's GIBBO GOD ALMIGHTY that annoys me.

if anyone is an idiot it's you, we have to read your silly mustang threads all the time, you're so boring...... your last mustang you were too scared to supercharge it, too scared to drive it hard at the pod, you're full of **** man, you're a joke............. you're deffo the laugh on this thread Gibbo, you're a poser!

Nope,

He can pedal, took me out in his 911 and anything but a poser.

But then hes a walker not Jazzed up talker.

Well that certainly livened up the morning.
Apart from the already talked about examples on this thread I can't really think of anything else that you can get for 50k.

Personally I'd either go for a Vantage, purely because I've always wanted one, but it's not going to be as quick or as good to drive, or wait 6 months for the new e63 with the 4matic to slide into budget as it's an absolute animal.

And since we're hating on gibbo, your M3 is too fast, it offends me.

In the real world the V6S is probably the best all rounder, but I just love the naughtiness of V8's, if I did not a choice would be far easier, GTR. :D

Do love the 5 pot in the Audi's too for its noise.

The F Type is a very different class of car to the Mustang though. A great alternative but pitched at a different lifestyle choice and market demographic.

To get the Mustang equivalent performance you are going to be well adverse budget.

Plus the niggle of not having the top spec variant when you are in an S not R.

Lovely car the F type but tbh for what you are wanting I think the new Mustang is still the better choice. Keep the Golf and you have pretty much everything covered between the three.

We've discussed this at length on messenger but here's my basic thoughts.

I felt even my Shelby GT350 wasn't worth its price in the end, let alone a regular GT (at UK prices). I think you are right to question your decision, whether it's right for you or wrong, because at this price bracket, we're getting into some pretty serious metal.

I know I've suggested the new TT-RS to you in the past, and it's definitely worth a look. Alfa Giulia is an excellent shout, far more exotic than the M3/4, and also a lot more exciting to drive IMO. My other suggestion would be to echo another in here, and consider the Vantage N430 - I've had a vast array of exotics now, and I still absolutely adore the N430/GT. Failing that, just save up for a GT3 down the line or just buy it now and not worry too much about depreciation.

Ultimately it's entirely your decision, and you do get quite a lot of car for the money with the Mustang, but I will say that I've always regretted buying the same car twice, especially if they're relatively close in model year. Buy what makes you feel good, and what you want to be staring at in your garage/drive every day. It doesn't matter one bit what the rest of us say, as value is perceived differently by each of us.

Having briefly met Andy at Palmersport and seen his posts on here it's clear he is just a huge car enthusiast and fairly humble about it. Hell, he goes about in shorts and socks pulled up! haha.

Oh God, I remember that photo!

should I stop posting in my thread about my GTR also because it offends you?

Finally, Kindai takes the hint :p

Lmao Mal X went sick.

Gibbo do what @Rybo89 said on the AT. Then go test drive what tickles your fancy.

I'd save most of the £50k. Upgrade the Golf r to silly bhp and enjoy beating every single car on the road.

Money's hard to come by these days and with how the economy is, and how new models of cars come out like iPhones I'd just wait it out until a special stang comes along.

£50k cash isn't a joke man no matter how much disposable income you have.
