THE 50K CHALLENGE: NEW MUSTANG ON THE WAY, BUT WOULD 50K BE BETTER SPENT ON ANOTHER MARQUE?

I knew the older ones were crap, but id have thought they would have pinched the tech from audi on the 991. nvm. Agree its not top prio, but as a daily its gotta be pretty good - at least for me.

You seen the Cayman GT4? pretty much depreciation proof until the new one arrives and you could use it as your entry into a 911 GT car to get on the list. I reckon the new GTS will also be pretty good depreciation wise in the first year or so whilst the supply is low.

Yes 99% perfect, no auto, if it was PDK I'd be collecting a GT4 tomorrow, love them, but in fairness I'd never given F-types much thought, I had a bad experience, dismissed them, a Mustang owner talked me into trying again, drove one and was a bit smitten, drove the faster one and was blown away, plus love the muscle British car style looks they have just like how I love how a GT4 is a Cayman on steroids. :D

Looks like it has the SVR carbon pack £4K+ and climate pack (£1100) which is the heated screen and climate seats? Seats that cool are the best thing ever.

The R you can soon spec to £110k like this one.

Although ceramics cause a good portion of that jump!

My Mustang did not have one, I feel robbed.
I personally love them as I don't see the wires and being able to instantly clear the screen on a cold icy morning is nice feature which is often up here in the north. :D

I remember getting my Jag XFS serviced a couple of years ago and they had a black convertible XKR-S, wow it looked incredible! They had top spec F-types in the dealership, but looks wise the XKR-S blew them away inside and out.

That Jag sounds awesome, if you get the Jag would you be keeping the golf or is that going either way you decide as I think you mentioned it was a stop gap until you could get the Mustang?

Golf has to go, already advertised it on the Golf forums and facebook page at £21,000ono. :)

I will buy an SVR if they give me the deal I have requested, now it is just waiting on there move to be honest, they gave me the whole the car is already at a loss so no movement in price. Got them down to 5.9% on finance, I can get it privately for less, but would prefer to do in one, so gone back to them saying list price is fine but drop your 5.9% down to 3.9% which would be about 2% flat. Also requested 4 new boots, new rear wheel, full service and a service pack. In short if they don't want to discount the car, they can discount the interest on finance, they can also throw in lots of stuff.

Anyway I believe they can discount the car, so I am sitting tight, plus I am not in a rush, there are more SVR's for sale and more will come admittedly at the price this is a good one and its in the exact spec I would pretty much option too, but at somepoint the brain has to engage when such vast amounts of money (to me) are involved.
