Team viewer is free. No iPad specific version yet but it works surprisingly well, the remote image scales properly in zoomed mode, ie. no blurring. It just doesn't fill the whole screen.

Does anyone know how you can view 720p videos from YouTube on the iPad?
MOst of teh videos ive viewed so far have been rubbish quality.

I just got the pleated belkin sleeve case for mine. Very good quality and a bargain from carphonewarehouse at £20? Feels 10x more expensive than the apple one.

Random question of the day, although I think its already been asked.

If I get a 3G iPad, and cut down my iPhone's sim could I then use it in the 3G for use on the data plan I have on the O2 contract?

Different things though as the apple one you can use it while in its 'case' while the belkin one is more of a protector then the other as you can't use it at all

You should be able to. I cut a vodafone SIM from a 3G dongle and that worked fine, but when I searched on google, lots of people said you could do it without any problems.

there is a massive PQ difference when viewing youtube and other video sites via 3G and wifi i was truly shocked at how bad it was, but thats down to the provider and not apple for setting limits in PQ

Agreed, I've had no vid/image quality problems over wifi. The enforced rubbish quality over 3G is as bad as the iPhone.

I doubt it's the carriers tbh. The iPad is unlocked. I've seen friends view high quality video on android phones over HSDPA/3G just fine. I believe it's Apple and their desire for a seamless experience trying to reduce loading times/delays in the YouTube app.

As always, some user choice would be great. I know it'll suck up my data allowance, please let me view this vid in high res

is there a way to force the PQ to a higher setting over 3g then ??? if i can then i dont mind upgrading to the 10gb option on 3 lol

Its horific the quality of youtube videos on the iPad. Some are really bad. They need to sort this out. Most 720p/1080p videos on the iPad are unviewable because it does not have Flash!!!!

There are some HTML5 videos but sometimes they play and sometimes they dont!

Trying to view vids using the "desktop" mode in youtube wouldnt play 90% of videos due to flash!!!!

Yeah all the 3G quality limits annoy me.

I'd like an option in iOS that says "Always present the device as being on WiFi" and that way users can chose if they want to view higher quality - it'll take a bit longer to load and use more of their data (but then that's more money for the carriers!).

Ah I swear Apple hardware is getting like crack for me. Just had myself an iPad with some birthday money that I've put towards it. The screen and browsing alone is just brilliant.

Know what you mean, in the last month, I've ditched everything PC and now have a 27" iMac, iPad and iPhone. The only thing which is not apple is my windows home server...
