So I wonder how many other sad gits there's been in the country who sat up late and pre ordered when the website went live and how many logged on before work to order?

Hope not so many I don't get mind on the 28th :D

32gb WiFi for me. Do not need the 3G.
 
Dont forget you can get 3% quidco.

Anyone thinking of getting the normal dock - dont bother as you will want to use the iPad both horizontally and vertically and you cant with the dock. Also it wont charge over USB from most PC's.

Just get a 99p plate stand from Wilkinsons like me. :D

/me waves.

I woke up about 5:30 and went to Apple to see if site was updated, and promptly pressed the dangerous 1click order button on a 32gb 3G, cant see me using 3G that much, but thought it might be a nice facility to have for the sake of £100 or whatever it is.

Now of course more expenditure is predicted with accessories and apps.

Then of course, 7th June isn't all that far away for me to throw more money at Apple ;)

No confirmation email received as of yet, but the site is a tad flakey at the moment, but my order went through fine and my iPad is showing in order status, so that'll do for me :)

Edit: oh cack, forgot about quidco :/

Torn here, why cant we order for pickup at an Apple Store!

I fly to California for 3 weeks on the 29th. Can't order one and have it turn up late when I am not around... Might brace the store on Friday AM... If I could get the warranty answer sorted for certain then I'd probably buy in Los Angeles, an iPad would make the flight home much easier to bear!

Looking through the different 3G options, is it just Orange that are doing Pay-As-You-Go?

There's no way I'll be signing a contract for the iPad, but I'd quite happily top it up by £10 whenever needed..
 
To answer the "will I get charged?" question..

I asked on the Apple Live help and the answer was "You get charged when the item is shipped, however your card is authorised now".

You also have the option to cancel if you bottle it :p
 
I told myself I wouldn't. Just ordered

- Apple iPad Case
- Apple iPad Dock
- Apple iPad Camera Connection Kit
- Apple iPad 10W USB Power Adapter

Total: £604.00
 
Will eventually buy a 64GB 3G UK one but happy with my US 64GB atm.

Could even order a iPad on my iPad. Oh how nice :D

Guys you may also want to get a micro-fibre cloth etc as it's fingerprints galore!!!

EDIT : I've ordered the Apple Case so i can use it as digital photo frame. Still can't find any in the shops (non Apple ones).

Just finished my order

Went for
32GB 3G + WIFI
Apple Case
Wireless Keyboard
Aftercare warranty

Think other items will be purchased later as I work out what i need. Probably items like the VGA connector kit for presentations.

There was talk of an Apple mini pico projector, anyone heard anymore about this as that would be very useful for meetings for me.

Roll on the 28th, think I'll work from home that day.
