Now that's more like it. Thats what i did with the iPhone for a big download.

Will it work tho? Else how will they make any money on the overpriced plans?

Does anyone know if you get assigned a phone number when getting a 3G microsim? Obviously you're not using as a phone sim but do they not have to have a number for 3g to work?

Also, has anyone released an SMS app for ipad yet? I presume with being able to use a normal sim cut to size this is theoretically possible?

Yes, technically but I don't know if Apple would let that through the approval process.

Yes, i'm fairly sure it would be a JB thing and possibly not that useful anyway.... but i'm trying to justify the extra outlay for a 3g! I suppose by the same trail of thought that phonecalls may be possible via JB'ing too :eek:

Those pay & go sims look like quite a sneaky idea - do the full size sims literally just cut down to the correct size? That easy?

Ah, I forgot to use Quidco (prob £15 cashback i'd imagine on my order).... is it worth risking ordering another and cancelling my first to get the quidco... or is that REALLY cheapskate :o
 
Pre-ordered 16gb Wifi, gonna grab an invisible shield as well I think, worked well on my iPhone! Not going to take it out much so won't need an actual case!

TopCashBack'd as well for 3%, was 3.5% this morning though!
 
32GB 3G (Orange) ordered, Quidco tracking took a little while. Went for the normal dock, didn't bother with the case.

The next 18 days are going to feel like an age.
 
FYI, my experience is that the Apple case is pretty nasty. Picks up dirt easily, and looks terrible after a couple of hours. I've ordered a 3G model, but I'll wait to see some other cases in case before picking one.
