I'm gonna roll up at 9am and if there's a big queue I'll just carry on to work! Can always pop out later on but no big fuss if I can't get the 32GB straight away I suppose!
 
Guys - a fair bit about cases and I'm liking the fossil case but like others have ordered a cheapo case from amazon until I decide http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000SA8IC4/ref=oss_product

But, any of you guys sorted any sort of stand/mount for it yet - have read somewhere that some people are using plate holders..??

For info - ordered 06:45 on 10th, despatched email 22/5 22:01 and currently with TNT with status of 'please phone'
 
I just ordered a stand off the bay. It's called a Portable Folding Laptop Stand and looks perfect for what I want.

32GB Wifi was the ideal version for me too tbh. Not going to use it on a daily basis out of the house, but will take it with me to meetings/commutes so I bought a PAYG Mifi to go with it. I was looking at getting a Mifi anyway for my MBP so it's worked out alright really.

I've gone for the 32gb WiFi model as well but not sure I understand what this MiFi business is all about? So how does that work with the WiFi model?

iPad 3G 64GB, Apple iPad Dock, Fossil iPad Case. Have got a Apple iPad Camera Connection Kit too (not photographed). Am using an O2 Text and Web Pay-As-You-Go SIM that I cut down myself, using the instructions from www.johnbenson.net.

Been to the Apple store today. It'll be a first come first serve on Friday so I doubt I'll get one when i get there at lunch time as I start work at 9 and they don't open until 9:30. Even if they have a midnight opening i can't get there at midnight anyway. But the good news is that they get delivery everyday and from saturday onwards you can reserve one.
 
LOL my dad just emailed me from Canada, saying that hes just bought an apple ipad himself over in America...32gb version and paid $700 odd for it.

Hes flying back tonight so i expect ill see him next week with the ipad in tow...not really sure what to make of them....to me they look like an oversized ipod touch/iphone.

There's been a lot of talk about it previously in this thread.

In short it's a wireless modem you can buy from 3 that converts a 3G signal to Wifi, allowing you to connect to the internet with up to 5 devices at once on the go.

It's £49.99 on PAYG.
 
If anybody is interested I will be contacting Apple as soon as mine arrives to return it under the 14 day scheme.

Other bills have cropped up that have to be paid :(

So on May 28th, I will have a unopened 32GB wifi (not 3g) version.

If anybody wants me to post it out to them, it will cost you what I paid for it from Apple plus Special delivery via Royal Mail. Pick up welcome (Brighton)
