The All New Desktop Thread, Images No Larger Than 800x600

Seen as the frames seem to be the new way to introduce your desktop here's mine looking rather standard:



Blackmesa theme, Rainlendar, Desktop all posted on here previously, as I don't change it much, and my mum uses it now so she needs the games on the desktop lol :p .
 
This is just to really say thanks to Dru - the Mac desktops you have shown us are simply magnificant, you really are a credit to this thread and make everyone wish they had a mac ;) .

It is indeed Ubuntu 6.06 Beta. I installed it a bit ago becasue I wanted to try out Xgl. Xgl ablolutely blew me away in terms of its speed and its gorgeous effects. I'm a bit addicted to it and when I have to go back to Windows XP to work with AutoCAD I end up feeling a bit trapped.

There's a LiveCD out there that runs Xgl that you can test called Kororaa. I reccomend everybody who is interested in these sort of things check it out.
 
Been a while since i posted here, unfortunatly my GFX Card / PSU blew up so only running 1 monitor atm, so this is what ive chose...
