*** The all new iPhone 4 thread - Keep all iPhone 4 stuff in here ***

ok i left regent street i cant wait any more, just pre ordered 2 iphone 4 for 14 july.

i hope for 14 July everything will be fixed

im going down the conspiracy route of:

Bumpers were made for it purposely, as apple knew this would happen.

At the moment it is unclear whether they help or not.

I wonder how Apple are going to react, they cant keep quiet all day surely?

Damn, this thing is rapid!
Seems like the reception issue isn't one anymore. When first testing I was in the Bermuda triangle that is my desk but had no other issues with it despite numerous hand configurations.
Seriously impressed with it.
For anyone that's got it, play Real Racing....

Completely agree! Now that O2 has transferred my sim this is a beast even when compared to my previous 3GS. Not had any calls fail despite using my hand on the phone and no covers! :D

A bit disappointed that cutting down my sim didn't work, gonna have to try and get a micro sim from somewhere as one never arrived in the post.

Genius Peter in the Apple Store walked me over to O2 where Guru James gave me a Pay Monthly MicroSIM.

I got the feeling that the Apple guy just wanted a break from the store!

Well im going to hang tight on getting rid of my old 3gs and wait for an official from apple.

I doubt a product recall, maybe just a swap out, but presumably apple will only do something drastic if a high % of these have a problem. Some are getting no problems or a different combination.

Or maybe they will sneak in with a quick firmware upgrade one night LOL

Apple forums and calling Apple support

I've personally called them and spoke to a lady

The lady told me that they are aware of the problem and are working to resolve it.

Take it with a pinch of salt. Ill hit the developers forums and ask.

Don't forget to opt-out of the iAds data gathering.

It was snuck in, as part of the iTunes 9.2 & iOS4 updates.. you have to visit http://oo.apple.com on a device running iOS 4 for it to register.

Nope. Apparently, there is a possibility of an answer *Shrug*

You know as well as I do how extremely unlikely that is.

That email address probably gets hammered with tens of thousands per day, possibly a lot more :p

You may love Steve Jobs, but he's far too busy to deal with the likes of Apple superfans all the time :D

If you were to get an answer from that address, it wouldn't be from him anyway.

I think I accidently "opt'ed-in" - when I brought an app the other day I had to accept the new terms of service - I accepted - does this mean I'm being "data gathered"? :p

Sure it's unlikely, but it's happened before.

Also, I don't love Steve Jobs - nor am I an "Apple Superfan" =\ ... I have an iPhone, that is all :p
