Oh, it's a shame everybody cleared off so early too as Piggy and I went off for a look around. As you probably guessed, Uttoxeter was rubbish on a Sunday afternoon. We popped back to the White Hart for some lunch and then looked around on TomTom and picked a trip to Stafford. Didn't have a clue what might be there but just jumped in the car and went.

And what did we find? A CASTLE....ooooooooohhhhh!!!!

OK, so it wasn't a very big castle but it was still something to do, hehe.

Yes, I made it home eventually (last night - just not posted until today). Whoever thought of not running trains until 14.15 (from Uttoxeter) should be taken outside. Still, Andy (owner of the Oldroyd I presume) let me have a late checkout, which was cool.

I'll sort out some more pics later - didn't take many. Will do the one vid as soon as I can find time (a few days, not a few months

).

Now, who set off the fire alarm at Cariba Creek?

Don't worry about it - it all worked out fine in the end.

Having said that, we could have met back up after you returned to Uttoxeter. Maybe even checked out a few of my old 'haunts' in Stafford too (spent three years there as a student type).
