It worked OK for me sorry. Have you tried a reboot? I did the usual upgrade (full install) over the top.

Do you guys use the HYPR-RX preset? I'm playing at 4k 120Hz with a 7900XT. I'm just wondering what the best settings are; I haven't messed with the driver settings in a while, so slightly confused.

Well turns out all of my supposed AMD driver issues were caused by Corsairs iCUE, Apparently iCUE 5 has a habit of doing something funky to your ram which causes black screen reboots. No more iCUE, No more black screen reboots.

Weird how it didn't happen when you swapped to a 4080 Super - but at least it's all sorted now.
iCue is pretty dogwater, anything like that (ROG Armoury Crate etc.) all have a habit of ballsing things up.

Icue is causing issues Nv side too, considering it's popularity, Corsair should have rock solid stable software at this point in time.

The reason for that is iCUE, For some reason, It wasn't loading up when I did a DDU and installed the Nvidia drivers, Why ? Aint got a clue.
Needless to say I've stopped using iCUE as Corsair don't seem to be able to figure out software development.
Considering the amount of money they charge for some of their products you'd think they could afford to get some decent software devs in but nope, Gotta cut as many corners as possible.

What were you using iCUE for and what do you use instead?
Just wondering as I've got iCUE on the machine with my 7900XT in to control the CPU AIO. Not sure if it's causing issues yet but not sure how I'd work around it.

Not using anything, Technically, I was using it to control my case fans and lights as I have a 5000T but now you can just save your cooling and lighting profile and completely exit iCUE.
Also have any and all Corsair services disabled.

man, these third party software are a mess, afterburner was causing me issues before, good thing i dont need it.

Yeah I've stopped using all 3rd party software where I can, iCUE is still on my system but it doesn't run, Even at the service level.
I only have it if I need to change something, Save settings to the hardware, Then fully exit it again.

). I have religiously used DDU on every time I have updated my GPU drivers, i am just wondering if there is really even any need anymore? Is it ok now days to just update through adrenaline. I Know previously it could give issues in certain games.

For whatever it's worth, I rarely clean install or use the factory reset install option.I apologise in advance, I know I know (not again
There will be situations where the Adrenalin installer will prompt you to use the factory reset, like upgrading to a newer driver branch.
If issues arise from the typical install process, it should be on us to investigate.

Using DDU for a simple driver update is definately not needed, unless changing vendor of course. I have found that updating through Adrenaline has caused me issues but other say it's fine for them. Personally I just download from AMD site and choose the factory reset option but also keep user settings. Not had any issue with this method for years.

@AMD_Vik been getting grey screens after a few minutes of watching a youtube video using Firefox on a 7900XTX, Turns out it's to do with Firefox's hardware acceleration not liking AMD drivers so I have to disable it.
Tested with my trusty old GTX 1080 and zero issues with hardware acceleration. Not sure if it's something AMD needs to investigate or if Mozilla do but thought it was worth mentioning.
