The AMD Driver Thread

Ok, cheers for clearing that up :)

This is fairly common by the way, our Crossfire profile won't always be the out and out fastest, though it is in most cases.

An official profiles alleviates common issues that present themselves when more than one gpu is used. Flashing textures, stuttering etc.

Seeing as Overwrite and Override are very different things and the difference is too important to let slide which was not helped by AMDmatt also saying overwrite.

Fair point, override is a better word to use.

So fare the biggest issue im seeing from this driver around the web is that it was late and a few expected CF profiles not included which users are in the minority anyway.

Quality over all is still high.

I get a feeling that the onset of Windows 10 dx12 drivers, the up coming 3xx series drivers and supporting current hardware as well as the new features had put a huge strain on resources, but still dont be late like this again even though i was not personally effected.

I can't speak for everyone and putting my own 1440P issues to the side. These seem fairly stable on a single 290X. I have been testing since release for benching purposes and no problems in any of the games I have tested (and I have tested a lot). AC:U gave an average of 23 fps at 1440P with everything maxed :D With settings dropped though, it was nice and smooth.

Quite surprised to run out of VRAM at 1440P on COD:AW as well.

Try these settings. might work....

Edit. also try with Shader Pre-Load off.

Cheers and it was more a case of what was achieved with the highest possible in game at 1440P. I have done a ton of testing and now just ready to chill for the day and watch Liverpool kick some Manc behinds :D

Performance in Far Cry 4 is awful for me with this driver. Cannot get it to sit on 60FPS which should be doable considering I'm only using 1080p at the moment with two 280X's...

Can i see a screenshot of the in game video options you're using, like below?

I am gonna stick with the Omega drivers, nothing in these drivers for my single R9 290 which given the hype is something of a disappointment to be honest. Also, if true that the 370 etc are pitcairn rebrands then that beggars belief as Matt has clearly indicated that the 7*** series will not support freesync or vsr, is this correct? :(

I could use some help with far cry 4 aswell. I haven't played it proper since release because I was waiting for a crossfire profile and now that were supposed to have one im seeing the exact same FPS so that's hugely disappointing.
