The AMD Driver Thread

When it's ready

It's all kicking off on the Project Cars forum when I questioned the reasons behind the performance of AMD cards in the game :o

I presented this series of tweets > https://twitter.com/amd_roy/status/596195800616603648

Apparently AMD have been offered chances to work with devs on the game for years, they've even had twenty game keys provided to them.

From that tweet it appears that Roy is blaming the Game and not the drivers? What's your view?

My view is AMD is in the ****!

We have to end this stand off between developers and AMD and they need to sort out the timing of the release of new profiles with the releases of games (or move back to CAPS).

The gaming industry and AMD need there heads knocking together, it's the customer that is being taken for a mug, if AMD keep loosing market share to Nvidia they'll have nobody else to blame but themselves.

If "Crossfire" is said to be supported then it needs to work out of the box when the game is released or there should be a clear timetable for when it will be, then the consumer can make a educated choice of what games/hardware to support.

The current situation can not continue.

It's really not helpful guys to see so much trolling in the driver thread, it makes it difficult for me to navigate the thread trying to help customers who actually have issues.

I've started getting this rubbish again in GTA5. It's been running great for over week and then just started up again. I cant replicate it Heaven or anything so i'm still none the wiser as to whether it's a driver thing or i need to RMA one of my 280x's.

Matt is helping me with this just now. I'll keep you updated. ;)

Goose just to confirm, you're using 280X Crossfire the same as Superpatsy?

Yup. Although I did notice it when running my HIS 280x by itself briefly. I think my Sapphire 280x is fine.

It's actually quite frustrating that it happens so rarely, makes it so hard to troubleshoot.

I do hope Roy is joking. Very bold thing to say, especially if the developer is actively trying to sort the issue out. Don't think we know where the issue lies right now. Why have they not got rid of Roy yet, he talks so much nonsense.
