The AMD Driver Thread

TBH your problems you having I wouldn't rule out it being hardware issue..

Graphic glitches is a dead give away that a fault is happening.

Both cards bottling it at the same time seems highly unlikely to me and it's only happening in two games which both happen to be new releases. I've had issues like this before that were resolved with a new driver. This also isn't the only time I've had problems with crossfire.

@AMDMatt These 15.4.1 looks like there aimed at fixing the AMA bug

Good news. Looks like those are the updated AMD drivers needed, but current screens will still require a firmware update to fix overdrive + freesync bug. Working with BenQ to find out more and hopefully test new firmware soon

Does it happen only when crossfire is enabled? You tested one GPU at a time? only takes one GPU to have faulty Vram or Core.

I've not had a chance to test single GPU's on Hardline but did so on GTA V. Played it for about 5 hours on each card individually and the problem was still there. I've been doing the same on a tonne of other games and it isn't happening, just new releases. I also downclocked both of my cards to half their speed and it was still happening.

I'll eat one of my best basketball shoes if it happens to be both cards that have gone faulty at the exact same time...

So amd do understand the concept of a hotfix driver...

I'm guessing it's not even worth installing in the slight hope there is an elite profile...d

Why is it that they can release minor updates for a tech not many people are using, but when it comes to games they shaft us for months on end?

I'm about ready to call quits on amd. I wanted to support the little guy, but it seems that they are not very good at supporting their users in return.

Elite has now been out about half a year! And the beta was around long enough before that, and still nothing!

Bloody pathetic.

I am both amazed and quite frankly disappointed that Matt doesn't have the decency to even acknowledge any of the posts relating to Project Cars in this thread.

I expected some sort of response, even as outlined in my post, even if it was just that this was an unacceptable situation and he had escalated it to higher levels.

Maybe his hands are tied and can't respond?

Well, it seems amd don't follow upcoming titles, and wait for their users to request/complain before even taking note of some titles, and then drag their feet.

Expect something late 2015.

But by then they will probably stop supporting existing cards and be focusing on their next gen.

Not gotten a single thing out of them performance wise or for games I have played since omegas came out.

We've had a Crossfire profile since Catalyst 14.2 for Project Cars.

As to why performance is now suddenly below par, I don't know. We're working with the devs now to find out why performance is not where it should be, this was not the case previously.

So why doesn't it work on release, this game has been "in the pipe" for years?

What are the timelines for release, sorry "please me patient" or "when it's done" just doesn't cut it anymore, we need to move beyond that.

I really don't understand what's going on at AMD at the moment, it's like you're trying to force your Customers to Nvidia!

Obviously AMD is happy to continue to **** its Customers off and continue the slide into oblivion :(

Well I think it's fairly clear to see AMD have absolutely no interest in brand loyalty and keeping their customers.

After my two posts, all I get from the official 'vendor rep' is an image from twitter, that is somehow supposed to make it all OK. I bet he hasn't even bothered reading my first post and considered exactly what I said in it.

Seriously regretting ever having invested in my 290s.

Yup, very poor show from AMD over the last few months, I hope they get their **** together as if things don't improve, I suspect that current AMD GPU owners including myself will jump ship.

I wonder if gTA 5 didn't come out, would we still be waiting for a driver?

The last "official/non-beta" driver update was on the 12/9/2014 lol....... :o
