The AMD Driver Thread

I'm just looking at rivatuner ingame and settings are absolutely 100% maximum super duper ultra but no AA on anything. Great optimisation on that title. Been playing it a lot. Maybe the 295x2 is just god at it. Currently playing witcher 3 maxed out with no AA or hairworks at 4k 30fps capped. 1st game I've not been able to play confident in the power of my gpu.

Very interesting...you seem to be contradicting every benchmark ever done on project cars...are u using 6 month old drivers or windows 10??

Hate's a bit strong.

Upset,Annoyed,Angry would be better wording.

All due to the fact they make good hardware but fail to back it up with the software which is what ticks me off the most . :(

+1

I love AMD for their price/performance ratio, but the good will garnered by that can only take them so far. I know in other instances, if I was getting poor service and knew I could improve it by paying a bit extra, I would. GPUs are no different, it was always my intention to jump on the AMD die shrink, but I may have to go green.

Same here, love the price/performance ratio and they seem the less evil of the two to me. But they really need to look after their customers better.

AMD are looking like a good choice for anyone new to PC gaming.

When my friends get Nvidia I have to advise them to download the latest drivers from the Nvidia website.
With AMD I can be confident that the included CD has the latest drivers...

:D

lol. Good one :D

Loving Booms Gifs. Good.. good..... Come to the dark side....! :D

Runs pretty well for me on 1080p, getting around 30-40 FPS with one card. Everything on Ultra with HairWorks turned off. Thoroughly enjoying the game so far. Using around 1.5GB of VRAM.

Hilarious but you abbreviated Floppy Disk wrong. :D

Leaked, exactly.... :p

Rather wait for official word on them first, for all we know, they could be buggy as hell and perhaps even do a nvidia by stopping our GPU fans from spinning :p

Then grab it now from Guru.

I can confirm that W3 has absolutely no peformance increase with these leaked betas.

One interesting thing I noticed is that if you manually set the crossfire config in CCC to AFR mode the game runs at a locked 60 fps with ultra/Hairworks/MSAA turned on except there is constant flicker everywhere.

Now if there was a way to get rid of the flicker this would beat even Nvidia 970/980's ..
