The AMD Driver Thread

I am hoping some magical drivers are released today with many fixes for crossfire and with a performance boost to boot as they launch at E3!

So, where is the new AMD rep? Get the feeling he won't be answering questions like Matt did. Just come in and post "new drivers are available" and then we see him again in 3 month time when the next drivers come out :p

I am sure it totally depends on the state of AMD in the next 24 hours. If they pull a rabbit out of a hat, he will be here all the time! If not, I doubt we will see much of him.

Not taking anything away from Matt, but I am not sure the rep adds anything. Even the so called feedback to AMD I take with a pinch of salt, look at Elite for example!

I would prefer no reps, instead spend the money on R&D of products and drivers - if they are perfect there won't be a need for someone to help 'solve problems!'

Just my 2p worth!

P.S. Welcome to the new AMD rep (for the 2nd time) who hasn't had the time/courtesy to even say hello to us despite no doubt being paid to do just that! Yes Joe...I'm talking to you! ;)

I know just a little hint that theres something would be nice. Really getting annoyed with a £300 paper weight in my pc atm as elite is the only game ive been playing lately.

If there is no sign of elite crossfire profiles im really debating going 980ti even if i do have to strip my entire waterloop.

Would not blame you mate. That game has been out for ages, and if that is what you play most, you should do it. The 980ti is a very nice card, just a little on the expensive side.

If i was to sell both cards, waterblocks and backplates probably wouldnt cost too much.

Come on amd i really dont want to strip my loop down.
 
Tell me about it, i have 2 x 7990's with XSPC block+backplates, 2nd one is never used. total waste, gonna sell em soon I think and go back to single cards I reckon.

This is my most visited forum so i intend to stick around and do what i do even before i started working for AMD, help people!

Most of my time will be focused elsewhere when I'm actually working, but when I'm not I'll be here posting Fury X benchmarks and answering questions as before. :D :cool:

WTF!!! there not even out yet and new drivers don't support the cards that these are just rebrands of?

Nope I'm thinking AMD have actually released a driver before it was needed.

Just to confirm I've just downloaded this and tried to install and of course they don't work with the 200 series.

I'm sure someone over at guru3d will mod the INF soon so we can all have a play,

don't be silly they will only work on 300 series cards released before 17/06/15 anything after will need newer ones or they will implode.
