Hi,
I didn't really wanna create a new thread for this, as some of my questions are mainly driver related, so I thought I might as well post here.
At the moment I am currently running a 7850, but I am looking to upgrade. I've heard from many forum members that a good upgrade path for the price atm is to pick up a 290/290x on the cheap (which can be had for around sub £200 by this point).
I'm definitely still thinking about buying one, but I'm still weary about buying a card that originally came out in 2013 originally.
I'm guessing that this will still have driver support for a long time? Just worried 'cause users are saying that they have to run modified drivers to get the full benefits of the latest drivers from the newer series. Is this just a mistake on AMD's part atm, or are they purposely holding back the R9 200 series back?
Also I'm thinking since these cards are so cheap atm I could go crossfire (just an idea) I've hard running dual GPU's is a bit shaky atm from both sides atm, but is it expected to get better? I've heard that Win10/DX12 have some improvements that help dual GPU set-ups, is that the case?
Thanks
