The AMD Driver Thread

Just been playing about with the new driver and can't get Arkham Knight to even run half-decently. AFR turns the game into a strobe light, 1x1 optimisation just caused a hellish amount of flickering from any light source, and all the other Batman profiles turned it into a slide show.

I can get 25-30FPS when out gliding about with the odd drop down to 15 or so FPS but it tanks down to single digits whenever I'm in the batmobile. This is with one 280X and at 1440p.

Can any of the AMD reps on here comment on the lack of Xorg Server 1.17 support in the latest Linux drivers ?.

It makes running the catalyst drivers difficult on up to date Linux distros :/

Is it worth installing the latest betas? I read somewhere on here that there are some new drivers or even a WHQL in the near horizon?

Also do we think AMD are going to be ready with their Win 10 driver? I cant see any evidence of it on their website.

First and foremost.. that game is a mess right now no matter what side you are on. Second, just to check and be sure, you havent enabled any nvidia specific features by chance?

Bug*

Issue with latest 15.6 beta drivers.

I have an AMD 6450 in my machine and when I try to install them the display driver and HDMI driver are not packages listed for install.

The 14.12 drivers list both the display and HDMI driver as packages available to install.

Humbug also had this not sure if he fixed it.

@AMDMatt

Why are tessellation pipeline optimizations being withheld for the R9 300 customers only? And why are only the Windows 10 drivers receiving reduced overhead enhancements regardless of the WDDM version?

Batman works pretty well for me @ 1440p, just stay out of the batmobile lol. The game really is atrocious for PC on both camps.

Also make sure you adjust the INI to unlock the FPS. 30 cap is ehhhh consolish? :P

I knew it was a mess before I started. Just wanted to play about and see if I can get it anywhere near playable. :p

All of the Nvidia guff is off. Tried it on the lowest settings and it was still unplayable.

Even with 15.6 my game is still regularly crashing, the performance test still doesn't work either. I think i'm just going to wait until we get some updates to fix this mess of a game.

I have spotted something that might explain this...

After installing the Driver from the Windows 7 link its fine, i'm on Windows 8.1, you have to select the windows 7 Driver to get the Windows 8.1 Driver and the Windows 8.1 Driver to get the Windows 7 Driver.

The links are messed up, as i highlighted in yellow.
