Overscan has been a problem for donkeys, 60Hz is fine but have to adjust for 50 and 24 which I need for media.
Nope my TV is 60hz and I have the problem. It's just a crap driver team. NV never had this problem.

And when AMD do a fix for the latest driver they take the last one down on their site.
Well that escalated pretty quickly..
No they do not because the fix is for the specific driver and they would not removed the old one when the old drivers are still available and has i have said it there has never been such a fix before.
Yes there has(read thread) and we're waiting for the fix for these BETA drivers![]()

He is autistic he gets upset easily it's one of the traits. ( I think you under estimate his age he still at primary school.)TBH I find it completely something silly to cry over.. Sorry if its harsh but black bars around a screen worth crying over?
If it was my son I would explain the reason why they is a black bar around the screen and then show him how to fix it!
@Dad
Instead spitting his dummy out! I have heard it all, am Changing my GPU because my HDMI has black bar around screen lol
Am sure if he fully understood the reason why AMD do this on the HDMI port he would appreciate the fact they allow the change.

I wasn't changing a gpu because of this I upgraded mine before this happened which is how my son was getting my old gpu as an upgrade in the first place.
anyway no excuse overscan sucks if amd wanted to they could have the drivers read the monitor settings and determine it's fully compatible and not need the overscan and set it properly so there's no black bar.
it's not hard the drivers already do things far more complicated that reading a simple setting from a monitor or it's driver or maybe just the windows screen resolution and refresh rate

anyway point still stands probably loads of non tech savvy people playing with a black border
It's 2015 we should expect a graphics card to be plug and play pretty much
there could be a simple popup after the reboot with if you have a black border click here to adjust the overscan slider ,if not click here to continue, just make it more user friendly
