One feature I've been hoping AMD introduce via a driver update is Adaptive V-Sync *Not to be consued with Adaptive Sync technologies like Freesync and G-Sync* like Nvidia introduced in early 2011.

+1 for this, hate running a v-sync game like GTA V then it tries to drop to 30FPS if the frames drop below 60.
after shadow play this is the second thing I miss most from switching from Nvidia
Is anyone on Windows 10, with the latest AMD Driver with an R9 290X? If so, can anyone confirm if Total Media Theatre 6 or PowerDVD 15 will work?
I've just done a fresh install of W10, I've had to run the Omega Drivers from 2014 on my Windows 10 install to get Total Media Theatre 6 and PowerDVD 15 to work
PowerDVD 15 works on Windows 10 with the latest drivers, but the performance is unusable.
TMT6 just doesn't run.
None of the issues exist on my Omega install on Windows 10.
Not really willing to pay for DVDpasskey and use VLC either.
EDIT : After trawling the Cyberlink forums, PowerDVD 15 can be fixed (And has been) by disabling the Video enhancements. It's still an AMD Driver issue, but still, least there's a fix.
So far can't fix TMT6 (The only Blu-ray player on the market that'll just stretch for 21:9 correctly without using hacks etc)
Finally updated to Win 10 (which was surprisingly smooth btw) and after installing 15.7.1 I hopped in to good ol' GTAV. Runs great, which is how it ran on WIN 8.1 but one thing I noticed is my VRAM usage is down about 500 - 600mb on average. Pretty crazy I LIKE!
In win 8.1 my vram usage always hovered around 3.2gb and tonight it never got over 2.6gb. This is at 4k with very high settings (except tess and grass).
All three of my gpus are working like a charm so far...Keep it up AMD!
Glad to hear that.
Tessellation can be set at very high. The performance impact from it is minimal as the game does not use unnecessary, excessive tessellation.
Sweet, good to know!
Quick question... I also noticed in Witcher 3 my vram didn't go over 1.8gb (again at 4k ultra). Did the compression techniques from the Fiji get passed down?
This is fantastic!

Matt when can we expect new drivers?
Too anyone getting a black screen problem on r9 290 or r9 290x here is what fixed mine.
I was using a splitter for the 2 power plugs into the gfx card (r9 290). So I changed this and used another from the PSU for the 6 pin one so each power port on the card has its own dedicated PSU lead. This fixes it - it has something to do with the splitter not being able to draw enough power.
