is 15.7.1 recommended for windows10?
and is turning driver updates off recommended? it might install some p00p over top?

Oh hang on... you said "Older?" i though "newer?" its newer... :o or at least it appears to be, the middle number is higher WHQL 15.7.1 is "1062" these are "150715a"

i would leave it as is :)

I just got this driver today, GTA cant complete one heist without a crash now, and chrome is crashing when trying to watch iplayer.

Im also getting black flashes on teh screen, but i think thats just win10 as im sure i saw it do that once before the amd update.
 
Recently upgraded to Windows 10 Pro (updated on Wednesday), noticing a fairly significant performance drop in Metro Last Light Redux with Tessellation set to anything higher than normal on both the latest WHQL and the drivers that installed with the update. If tessellation is set to high or very high, FPS drops from 60 to 30 regardless of vsync in some areas. Including the area I was playing through on 8.1 just fine maxed out.

Not worth reverting the upgrade over, the game still look gorgeous even with normal tessellation, but worth noting nonetheless. :)
