The AMD Driver Thread

That flickering on the Fallout 4 compass, imagine it on the whole screen with all drivers since 15.7 on all game and on windows desktop for some....

Some times more prominent others times not so prominent. 15.11.1beta for example which I kept for a whole evening trying to make it work, found that every 1h or so, you had to switch VSR OFF ON, and change the refresh rate of the monitor in Windows (native resolutions) to see smooth 3D and just only 2d overlays flickering.

However is annoying as hell, hence back to 15.6.

I get the black snow in SWBF and massive screen tearing in all games even though Im using Freesync with 290x and BENQ freesync monitor.

check you freesync range in crimson, if its 40-60 you need to go into the windows monitor setting and change 60hz back to 144hz...could be that issue solved

Has anyone reported the core clocks bouncing up and down to AMD ?

Also, anyone without a Fury, also get the issue ?

Not with a 290..
I did have a strange issue with csgo and FRTC but I can't seem to make it happen again.

Does overdrive core clock on global save for you guys? After system restart it's back at 0% for me.

Also why wasn't they a link added at the bottom for reporting issues? It would make sense.

Is this related to Freesycn? As I don't have that issue with my 295x2.

Well, my R9 390x would sit at a lower clock (300mhz-600mhz) when I was just at the desktop or browsing. Since the 15.7.1 driver and the new crimson, it sits at 1050 all the time and when you run the MSI clocks from 1050- 1080 screen tears and flickers and then from 1080 - 1100 it does the same or black screen. (These are preset clocks for the card from MSI)

I have reported this as it seems the card no longer goes into any low power state!

Clocks locked solid, 1040.

this looks like it's caused by Freesync mate. Disable Freesync and my clocks stay locked at 1100mhz with no dips at all. But why should we run without Freesynce right. Obviously AMD dont have any Freesync monitors to test on.

I keep getting the random APPCRASH of cnext.exe, so have submitted a report to AMD.

If anyone's looking to send one you can get to the page via the new app by going into the 'Preferences' tab and 'Report Issue' from there - saves you having to look it up.

Fallout 4 goes down to 30 fps when looking at walls or corners then climbs back to 60fps very annoying and affects gaming. Uninstalled and reloaded 15.11.1

I think this might be due to MSI AB. I haven't tried uninstalling AB yet.

Never thought to try with FreeSync disabled, bit of **** up if that is the cause.
