The AMD Driver Thread

Can't be arsed, will wait for fix :p

Mate! lol this isn't testing.. It would be fair if you did test and send a report.

Edit
If anyone is having a problem where the stock game profiles are not keeping the settings you need to delete the profile AMD has and manually add it. I think the reason here is Tomb Raider profile is looking for the game on my :c drive but I dont have it installed there.

After playing CSGO tonight I can 100% say I notice the change in Flip Que zip. Mouse feels much smoother and that's crazy.
Edit
This is madness I never knew I could get a smoother mouse? lol its like I have less input lag. I very sure this isn't a placebo effect.

Anyways here is some Tomb Raider Crimson vs 15.11.1

What you expect them to actually do? come over to your house and fix it? FYI they don't work on drivers and Matt did give you a link to report any issues. TBH his job is done here!

/rant!

@everyone else
I also noticed on AMD site down the left hand side they list the driver under each GPU brand are people downloading from the correct link? Just a thought
http://support.amd.com/en-us/download

Although I do not have them running on start up or in use I did have AB and Trixx installed on my pc so too avoid conflicts I've done the following. I've uninstalled Afterburner and Trixx, Then I uninstalled the Crimson drivers and there complete package, Then I deleted everything left behind from the programs mentioned and rebooted my PC, Next I downloaded the full crimson package, Installed it and rebooted again. Now I'll spend today testing various games to see if the same problems persist and report back later.

So just played about 4 hours or so of FO4 straight through and am now playing at 4k when before I was only getting acceptable fps at 1440p. Didn't change any settings just bumped up the res to see and sure enough I am beyooooooooooond pleased :) Good job amd!

Guys you still got the old CCC panel there?..When I click on "Try Advanced Setup" on display section , I only get this,

I only ask because I want to check my Pixel format RGB settings and saturation level.

UPDATE:
I fixed my issue, did another fresh download and over the top install this time, so now I have CCC slim panel there etc, very weird since first time was a clean install of Crimson drivers.

Questions to the AMD guys, What did they fix in VSR can you now do 4K from 1080p @ 120hz? And this flip queue thing, This is basically pre-rendered frames do you set it to 1 then or how does it work?

Very impressed by everything so far, Shankly with a nice min fps gain in Tomb Raider.

Had a weird issue where the PC would black screen post-login after upgrading to the Crimson drivers. Became totally unresponsive

Rebooted into safe mode, removed all drivers with DDU, reinstalled, and all is OK

Got a very nice boost in Battlefront with the latest drivers, so much so I can now use Ultra preset with barley a blip at 1200p with just a 7950. Im also using afterburner without any issues.

Too everyone with problems are you running MSI AB, Trixx or anyother software that hooks into games?

I only had MSI AB and I removed it before installing driver. Only reason was for me to start using the new profiles etc I only had a issue with CSGO on FRTC but cant seem to make it happen again I reported it.

Okay I've spent several hours in Stalker and it's still the same with the fps under 30 and the core clock in the 300 to 600 range according to gpu-z.

It usually sits between double and triple that.

i did get it from amd's website but its a compressed file, once it decompresses to the amd folder its nearly 500 meg big. u should go double check.

That's because it holds drivers for all windows, it doesn't mean you load up 500mb of data each system boot lol

Even so 500mb is nothing by today's standards.

500mb is nothing. The package also contains the gaming evolved app, which most of us don't even install.

Just for comparison i have downloaded the latest Nvidia drivers, extracted it's 718mb.
