Ive just left it on the settings it set, i dunno. Looks nice though what ever they are, dont get me wrong when theres a close up on her hair wind wind blowing through it and dust blowing around etc it gets pretty low, like low 40s maybe even late 30s im not sure but most the times i look at the frame meter its at the 59 lock or dropping down into the mid 50s.

Only played it a short time though so maybe later on it gets real laggy or summat. Ill probably play it tomorrow night and see how it gets on, if it gets laggy later on in the game ill let ya know so ya dont buy it until it gets a crossfire profile.

Nudged a couple of settings down a little and turned off some crap I don't like (motion blur, bloom) on my 290 and played for 90min and it ran nice enough.

No major dips from 60 yet. No stutters making it unplayable. Still looks nice, so I'm happy enough. Will still install new driver when it comes though, but I'll probably still leave some settings down/off as even at 1080 it doesn't look like a 290 will be enough for constant 60.
 
Heads up to Tomb Raider players... forcing the old TR profile for crossfire works! Pretty well actually, minus some flicker here and there but I'm at 4k on 2x 290's sitting at 60fps hard locked.

Make sure you are using Exclusive Fullscreen!
 
update: not perfect by any means but still going strong. It has quick hitch when loading a new zone or something but still worth it over single gpu lol.
 
i was tempted to try that last night, was just the old tomb raider in the list though so i thought it probably wouldnt work, glad it does ill give it a go now, can add some MSAA then hopefully.
 
On my Fury I'm getting really bad judder in cut scenes that sometimes lead to crashes and my performance is not what it should be, I have quite a few things turned down/off and it's often in the 30's at 1440 via vsr.
 
YB2ndBest howdid ya manage to force that profile? Ive tried selecting it in the crossfire profiles and its not working, you rolled back to old drivers or something?

That doesnt sound good nash, wierd how its working fine on 290s but on a fury its not happy.

There seems to be 2 main things that are having an odd effect on gpu usage I've noticed (might be different to your fury though). Very High textures and Purehair. Both of those either on their own or together do have a crippling effect on my gpu usage. On high textures everything else maxed out (minus purehair) I can maintain 99% gpu usage (xfire too). Once I turn on Very high textures My gpus just sit around 40ish % and my clock speeds drop to the 600's. Very very odd.

Either way, high textures, no pure hair and everything else jacked up it runs great for not having a dedicated driver lol.

I'm on 16.1

When you set it for the game in the crimson game settings you should be good. When you double click on tomb raider icon it brings up the options window first, make sure you have Exclusive Fullscreen Checked.

That should do it.
 
So then no drivers for the division either (assuming we need any that is...)? What a surprise :D

The thing is, if we do NEED drivers and we don't get any drivers by the end of tonight, there won't be anything till Monday and the division beta will be over by then :p :o
 
It's such a pity..
AMD gave up such beauty to Huang, person who cripple and corrupts games.
Pure Hair name instead of TressFX. And no DirectX 12 Async Shaders.

AMD Matt, please bring my word to AMD - I'm very disappointed.
We are in one boat now.
I will not buy anything from faschist Huang, who breaking industrial standards, showing demos instead of implementing tech in games, etc. etc.

If AMD won't fix it's shait this year, fail with Polaris, like it did with Fury, I'll leave AAA gaming. Also no VR for me in this case.

P.S. I'm not AMD fanboy in any case, as engineer I'm standing for fair competition and evolution. Not shaity marketing and monopoly, where managers usurp achievements of professionals and corrupt them for own benefits.

It's all well and good Matt and Joe coming in winking and saying you might be surprised as if they know something, so we wait, and wait, and wait nothing for release. So really, surprised means yeah you'll have a driver at some point, but like hell you'll get it for release.

Loadsa is right, at 1080 the Ti is faster, at 1440p there more evenly matched but the Ti is still the winner, at 4k the furyx and ti are even this is all from what i have read on bench sites and user posts on here.

LoadsaMoney is talking about a gtx980 not a ti. It's his go to joke that on release the gtx980 was faster than FuryX.
