The power efficiency is Fury only.
Power Efficiency is applicable to Fury X, Fury, R9 390X, 390, 380X, 380 and 360.
2xx and 7xxx series GPUs did not have those power optimisations.

@Matt could do with help here. Diabled XF just incase, and ran on the 295x, and once again 60 seconds in give or take, throttling YET temps aren't going above 64C... I've ran out of ideas...All 3s apart from the 370.
AMD are sending me a 295x2, but i don't' have one on hand to test with. It should arrive early next week so I'll let you know what i find out.
Have you tried using Clock Blocker in the meantime?

Ok cool. Yep used clockblocked, still throttles down. I've disabled and re enabled XF, no change. Like I say temps mid 60's, so nothing to worry about there. Weird... yet runs like a weapon for a minute or two... then it all goes pear shaped and as soon as the throttling starts, the gameplay and fps just drop to unplayable.
What is the core clock/memory dropping to?

Talking about memory..... are we going to see the VRAM overclocking on the Overdrive for the Nano?
Or have to go back to MSI AB?

You're applying the exe of the game in clockblocker and when you fire up the game the icon for it in the systray changes color?

Varies, never the same however is' usually maybe in the 600's that kind of region dropping lower or higher. Only the core drops fella, not the memory. Will double check though
Yeah mate, changes to red with a cross, all added but still does same, here's another screen shot after about 60 seconds of playing... then the games plays erratic and fps fall apart down to around 25%....
This all happenes whether I overclock or run standard clocks as well, so I know it's not that.

No, you'll need to use MSI AB or Trixxx.

Could you try another PCie slot on your motherboard? I had a similar issue with crossfire wasn't just BF4, turned out it was one my PCie slots not working correctly.
Might also be worth checking in Power option in Windows control panel and make sure all power saving is off.

Doesn't do it in any other game apart from BF4,... Dying Light etc, just BF4 for some reason.... TBH I've not swapped them around based on this and two it's a right ball ache as PC is setup nicely now bar this. Will check BF3 actually see what it does...
The problem I've had with BF3 is since a certain AMD update it's impossible to get HUD centred and also there is never a crosshair... they cocked something up ages ago for XF with this game and barely played since as usually AMD don't want to know if it's a problem for 1 out of every 1000. Does it in DX or Mantle, it don't care lol.
Looks like BF3 has same problem as well... mmmmmm better check Dying Light now... what the hell is going on...
EDIT: Dying Light doing the same now... this is so annoying... also for some weird reason the GPU2/GPU3 isn't showing ANY usage ever although the temps fluctuate and they have to be used as Im hitting 100+fps in BF4 and Dying Light is 60min 130fps max and you wouldn't do that at this res on one GPU.

Might have already been mentioned, but have you tried locking the clocks with Afterburner ?

That's what I'm using, AF, however can't see option of "locking", never used that before it is a separate option and been using AF for years? Am I being dumb here?

No theres no locking option, you just raise the clocks a bit, hit the tick to activate them, and they should stick, or ceate a profile to use for them to stick, its what i used to do when i had a 290, as the clocks kept dropping.

What happens if you dont use the third GPU ? Just the 295?
Also guessing you have 295 in first GPU slot and the 290 in second slot?

Yeah AF is all locked then, it's set at startup.
As for slots, yes, the 295x is in the first slot and 290 in second slot... and when I disable XF then the 295x still throttles down...
